WTB: Cox Baja Bug Parts

WTB: Cox Baja Bug Parts
I'll be picking up a Baja Bug to play with Sunday and it needs a rear wheel. I'm looking for one and the hubcap? Is there aftermarket tires that fit?
I need some other part too, maybe a new body or tail lights, front clip and some other minor parts.
What do you have that you want to sell

Here's the aftermarket ones I was talking about in the chat last night. They are not slicks but they are better than nothing. http://www.ebay.com/itm/cox-dunebuggy-baja-aftermarket-replacement-rear-tires-/180933397961?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a20788dc9
I don't know about the rim and hubcap, I'll really have to watch parts auctions for those.

Re: WTB: Cox Baja Bug Parts
what is the diameter of the rim and the width of the rim? Maybe some of the 1/16 or 1/18 scale buggy tires will work. They make these in slicks also. Measure in tenth of an inch. For example my RC10 GT tires are 2.2"

Not trying to throw salt in a wound, but you missed a brand new pair on ebay about a month ago. So there are some new ones around, but you are going to have to pull a rabbit out of a hat to find some.
As a side note, I remember that my Baja Bug (long gone now) came with ribbed rear tires, not slicks. That thing would climb almost straight up a mountain of dirt when the dune buggy with slicks could not.

I have always seen Baja Bugs come with slicks and the Dune Buggies come with the treaded tires.
Re: WTB: Cox Baja Bug Parts
I just renamed it looking for Bug parts. It's rougher shape then what I originally thought.

It is entirely possible that I may have gotten that backwards as I am somewhat feeble minded.

These should work.
Tamiya 9805033 9805034. The 33's fit the front of my Bug.

Re: WTB: Cox Baja Bug Parts
The rims can be tough to break down. Be careful with them as the outer lip that clamps the
tire down will snap off quite easily. I had great luck soaking them for a bit in near boiling water
for a few minutes to relax the rim halves enough to separate.
