Good news is that the decals look great. Bad news is they are huge!!!! I had my brother in law print them up and I told them they are already the right size already. Guess not! Where did I go wrong?
So sorry guys, please be patient while I get this sorted. Wilf if you see this I need your help.
Anybody want to build a really big Jr. Falcon? Or 'lil Wizard?
.35 powered Lil' Wizard anyone?
Normally, when I print these out myself, I do it through MS Publisher, which has rulers top and side to allow you to scale everything correctly.
If the system your brother in law is using doesn't allow for checking the size (which seems a little odd) I can only suggest re-sizing everything using a picture editing program before you give them to him. As far as I am aware, these scans were correct size when I posted them, so it seems that something in the printing process has enlarged them like this, certainly they print normal size when I print them.

Re: Stickers and Decals
Ok Wilf,
I will run them through publisher and see if they resize. I wish I knew what the correct size is so I can be sure.
Man, what a waste of material.

I've never seen one either.
I have just printed these out in Publisher to see what they look like, same size as original came out at 60mm for that measurement you show, which to me looks a bit small, I enlarged it to 90mm and that looks about right to me

Re: Stickers and Decals
Thanks guys.
My brother in law being a non-modeler didn't have a clue what size it should be when he printed them. I did mention that the 'lil Satan was smaller than the Jr. Satan he did previous. He's a busy guy so I guess that slipped by.
Anyway we are on the same page now so if anyone can measure thier 'lil wizard or Satan it would be much appreciated. He said if he had at least one accurate measurement the rest would scale down in proportion.
Again sorry to all those waiting.

Yes Wilf, your collection has definitely helped me immensely! And I thank you for that.
Ok, so here is a little explaination. While clear background is available I am unable to print on it with the machines I have access to to add to the problem cutting with the laser cutter takes a long time to set up. I spent over 3 hours with my brother-in-law working through that issue to get the 'lil Satan ones just right.
So...... Apart from the 'lil Satan the decals all others will need to be hand cut. It's a bit of a pain I know but, it's the best I can do at the moment. What I am trying to do is provide decals at an affordable price so we can continue to build our beloved models.
I am sure over time this can be corrected. Here is an example of the ones I just finished.
Don't forget I can do anything custom as well, the skies the limit folks!

Re: Stickers and Decals
Just a few notes, gained from bitter experience, for anyone who is thinking of printing their own decals on their inkjet printer.
Firstly, you cannot print white! this is crucial, if you print on transparent film, white areas will be clear, not white.
Unfortunately inkjet printer inks are also transparent, so if you take your prized decal and stick it on a dark coloured wing you won't be able to see it! also, the underlying colour will alter the decal colour, so, if you print a yellow decal and put it on a red wing, you get an orange decal, not a yellow one!
Decals printed on white film don't have these problems, but you have the hassle of cutting carefully round the outline, which can be a real pain if the decal has a complicated edge.
However, since the alternative is to have no decals on your model it's worth the trouble!

No, they are not vinyl they are just a high quality adhesive backed paper. After printing I laminate the image in clear vinyl. To help with the fuel proofing.
I can do vinyl except it would have to be done in layers. The end result would be a really thick decal.

I have the decals minus the Cox logo from the Cox EL Canario ARF.
They are the real thing, if anybody wants them.
