JB needed some PT-19 ones. Thanks for posting that. Were the PT-19 decals different throughout the years?

Check size before printing!

No, they are not vinyl they are just a high quality adhesive backed paper. After printing I laminate the image in clear vinyl. To help with the fuel proofing.

I can do vinyl except it would have to be done in layers. The end result would be a really thick decal.

cribbs74 wrote:Not sure if this topic belongs here, but I just wanted to let everyone know that I have the ability to create decals and stickers for our planes. I can re-create anything past or present also custom decals/stickers as well. There is a catch......I would need an example of what you want done to ensure correct dimensions and color. This could be done with a scale drawing , resized picture or an actual decal. I Just wanted to throw that out there. I am offering this service only for our members here and I am not planning on making a ton of money with this as I already have a day job. I would just be glad to help those in need.

If for some reason there is a copyright issue, that will have have to be addressed on a case by case basis. I am not sure if that is even an issue as long as it is deemed for personal use. I don't want to get in any trouble here!

So that being said let me know if you need something special to finish off that model let me know, it doen't even have to be a model it could be for whatever you wish!

Moderators: If this needs to be elsewhere feel free to move it. If I am out of line offering this service feel free to chastise me LOL

Thanks,

how bout' these? i have a couple parts bins that need sticky decals

I haven't seen the Jim Walker one before, I'll see if it will clean up and remove the watermark.

Just for interest, if anyone wants AMA logos I have them going back to who-knows-when, and up to 2012 membership. Let me know if anyone wants any, or virtually any other kit, engine, etc. logo.

Edit: Unfortunately the Jim Walker decals aren't good enough to clean up, great pity that, anyone got a better copy??

Wilf

That decal is one I do not have, but It's easy enough to make if you have decal paper and a color printer.

bounce I bought some of this transparent sheets from office depot , am using a laser jet the inexpensive one printer. printed this for the first time and I think it will work for me just need to be smaller . My  Two Cents Popcorn   I am thinking cut out and dope over it to hold it on , may have to come up with a spray to keep from smearing ?  bounce

Re: Stickers and Decals

I tried using Pixlr's pixlr editor http://pixlr.com/ to remove the background from a digital photo of a decal that I want to use.. so that I can re-size and have it laser-printed on a clear label. I was having trouble (impatience...  Mad  ) so.. my wife is graciously helping me with it. She accessed tutorials through the site.. and is figuring it out!!!

BTW for those who didn't know; the universal indicator for a clear(ed) background.. is a light-grey and white checkerboard surrounding an image.

Ron,

I just saw this thread. Are you still making decals? If so can I send you art for decals?
