There's a group of guys that fly RC Pylon racing in Julian, or nearby. Wear a helmet and flack jacket if you ever go watch them.

This is in Julian, maybe you can hear it from your house. His name is John Gibson, one of the Combat guys in our MCLS control line club.

As I hear the story, a car parked at the far end of the runway one day. An engine was set free in a mid-air collision and it punched through both front windows and was never found. Nobody was in the car.

Damn that's better video than I have , you cant get too close to this event have been there a few times . About 10miiles from the house I cant here them But ... I can hear the Drag strip http://www.piedmontdragway.com/ maybe 5 miles through the woods bounce

The Q500 is really Hot with Nelson engine right up the road .. http://aeroracingengines.com/about.html Thought I mite go over there one day just to see what they will let me !! I am sure they would love to cut a country boy a deal Affraid or WOW!

They also have a Vintage day I Have been there only Once was good time . There dates are hard to get or I just have not put enough time into it tongue
