Now that, is just awesome!! You kept me on the edge of my seat, every time you'd step back into the picture to adjust the engine. It looks like you're going to walk right into the propeller!! Do you have an airframe in mind to build around it?

Very impressive. As a machinist, I appreciate what it would take to create something like this.

That's a remarkable piece of work. I subscribed to your YouTube channel so I can see more of what you do. Thanks for coming back to CEF and for sharing your work with us. I am also curious as to what you may use this engine for. Are you a pilot and airplane builder? I recall some of your smaller projects you've showed us in the past, but this is the largest yet that I recall. I'll be re-watching these videos. Once isn't enough.

Re: my silver star 9 cylinders engine
It is the actual power at the crankshaft, before any transmission gearbox or other drive train losses. I think it can be measured as how much force it takes to bring it to a dead stop(known as Braking it) while it's running at the peak of its power curve. I'm not sure how the inertia of a necessary flywheel is accounted for.chris74100 wrote:Thanks, I don't know the BHP, what it is ?

You could drive a small riding lawnmower with that Lol. Or maybe a super Daquri blender. Or a pretty darn big RC airplane or motor scooter.

Fascinating achievement Chris! I was nervous that the saw-horse was going to tip forward without any visible counterweight on the back! Please be careful!!
Re: my silver star 9 cylinders engine
Gee, that sounds so real! We had turbine jet model aircraft that sounded real like jets. That is really a cool sound for a radial, can't get more realism in sound than that!
