I got an email this evening from Damian Sheehy.. of N.E.S.T (New England Stunt Team) of this event, if anyone in the area is interested in attending.

Join us for the 2016 Worldwide Ringmaster Fly-A-Thon and round out the season with the airplane that introduced you to the hobby!      
 
Ringmaster Fly-a-thon Information    When: Sunday, Oct, 2nd 9am to 6pm    Where: 107’th, Stunt Circle, Saugus, Mass    Contact:  Dick Carville, H: 978-452-4521 C: 978-973-6821, Norm Liversidge, H: 978-774-7023 C: 978-270-1759. Website: http://www.107thrc.com/  Directions to the 107’th Flying Field: GPS Coordinates: 42° 25.959', -70° 59.784' From the Boston area: Take 93 North to route 1A north. Follow 1A north to Rt 107 north. Follow Rt. 107 for 1.5 mi. At 1.5 mi you will see big power plant on the right and a “turnaround lane on the left. Turn out and reverse direction on Rt. 107. At one mile will be entrance to our field. (Lots of construction and Jersey barriers on Rt107. You will need to cross an opening in the Jersey barriers)              
From the North - Lowell area: Take route 3 south to route 128( Rt 95)- Approx 13 miles from Lowell At the end of Rt3 take Rt 128 north. Follow 128N to Walnut St  At bottom of ramp go right on Walnut St  Follow Walnut St approx 2mi – find shopping center on right; take ramp on right onto route 1 south. Follow Rt. 1S (stay left at Rt .99) approx 1 mile take ramp to Rt 60 and enter rotary (signs “to Logan airport”) Take the third exit off rotary; Squire Rd. (see Uno Pizza on left and Mobile station on right). Continue to the end of Squire Rd and enter rotary. Take third exit off rotary – this is route 107. Follow Rt. 107 for 1.5 mi. At 1.5 mi you will see big power plant on the right and a “turnaround lane on the left.     Turn out and reverse direction on Rt. 107. At one mile will be entrance to our field. Finding the Field Entrance; the gate is on the south bound lane of route 107 South Bound: The gate is 1 mile south of the turnaround loop located in the south bound lane at Resco Power Plant. North Bound: The turnaround loop is 1.5 miles from the Revere traffic circle at route 107 and Squire Rd  (route 60)  


These are GREAT people.. and serious control-line flyers!

I got lost just reading those directions! They should be excellent control line fliers as much as they like what we call "roundAbouts" they call roatays! Just drive in circles. RC Plane lol! o

I have been on all those roads mentioned. Pre GPS days it was easy (but enjoyable) to get lost. Bought my first car near route 107, continue north and 107 goes right through my old home town of Raymond.

I don't plan on attending. I have a band-gig tonight down in Jamestown, RI that will likely have me getting home between 3-4 tomorrow morning. Rainy weather will make for slow driving too.

Saugus, MA weather is forecasted to be clearing tonight, with a 20% chance of rain on Sunday, winds 10-15 mph with a high of 60 degrees F.

Even using a GPS.. I'd surely get lost attempting to drive there. Laughing
