That's a beautiful piece of lumber, Bob.
She'd look good centered right over those
three frames on the wall behind the case.
Outside might be cool too.

I have a "real" one that I plan to hang in my barn, once it's built. Found it amongst my late brother's stuff, so was probably intened for his Luton Minor but never used.

Idk, at first this is perfect for over the door of new shop, but you can look at it more indoors...maybe make one yourself for outside, or keep it inside till spring?
Re: Display propeller arrives, I like it
Looks very nice. My vote goes to building a plane for it!

Bob... do you have the height in the room for an aircraft-mural done on the ceiling? Make a prop-mount for a slim-line electric-motor.. and control its speed remotely via a wall switch. What would the aircraft be?

Re: Display propeller arrives, I like it
I think it would look great in both places, but before mounting it outside (if that's what you'll choose to do) it would be good to check what is used for finish, and does it tolerate the weather and sunshine.
Mark has a good point... If you mount it inside you'll probably get to look at it more. Not sure how your "engine room" is arranged, but were it mine, I'd have a comfy armchair there so that I could just sit and look at the collection Above those picture frames would be a good place.
That prop would also look great hanging above a fireplace.

Re: Display propeller arrives, I like it
You guys are making me go broke on the CEF plan.
Murals, electric motors, remote controls, additional propellers and now I have to install a fireplace. That and Mark B. has me all hopped up on Johnson motors and glow plugs...........
If I did a mural, it would be a biplane as roddie suggested, maybe some day in the loft. Remember the ceiling fan Corsair?
But my dilemma is that I always planned to put my Civil War era musket above those pictures as soon as I could find the racks that I used to display it on. It's an interesting old relic that I first discovered in my fathers den some 75 years ago.
Made at the Springfield Armory in 1864 and converted to a breech loader in 1866 known as the Allin conversion. At that time it had the breech end of the barrel milled off and a "trapdoor" installed, it was also sleeved down from 58 caliber to 50 caliber. It fires a 50/70 round. It has Erskine Allin's initials stamped on it. Thousands of these were converted after the Civil war in an attempt to keep them relevant with the breech loaders of the day. Many were packed up and sent to Portugal only to be returned unused years later. This is one of those rifles.
My "comfy" chair Kari.
Did not realize but the propeller has a clip on the back to hang it with. Won't work though as I want to display it horizontally.
Sorry for the history lesson but some may find it interesting.

Re: Display propeller arrives, I like it
This is pretty cool. I like the look of it inside on the display case, it fits right in...but then again it would look great over a door. I'm with Mark on this, any decision is the right decision!
Re: Display propeller arrives, I like it
Or, if you're no sure where to put it, you could just get another one and put one at each place you thought of.
But, I agree, wherever you decide to put it, I'm sure it would look very good.

Re: Display propeller arrives, I like it
For better or worse:
Temporary on nails. I want to turn a blunt nosed conical spinner the diameter of the prop's shaft hole, use a double threaded screw for a more secure mount and slide it on. Probably paint it matte aluminum. Gotta align those pictures better too.
Lower it a bit rather than midway?
Bob
Edit add..Thinking about roddie's mural suggestion, a landscape poster of a P-38 or Corsair would look great instead of those Leo Stans prints.
