Mauricio you sure build and fly a beautiful airplane! I enjoy your videos and wish I could fly like that. Glad you're going to enjoy the Medallion. Look forward to seeing the airplane it will be mounted in.

Thanks Steve for having reserved the motor for me, it is a jewel really and you have taken care of it very well! ... in a future I will see in what project I take advantage of it, meanwhile I enjoy contemplating it!

roddie wrote:Hi Mauricio, I see that you now have a precious Cox-tool that was missing/lost in postage? Congratulations my friend! I purchased the .049/.051 piston/rod reset-tool direct from Cox in early 1993 for U.S. $2.80!! It is the most important tool for the engine!
Hello Roddie! .... with this complete: .010 / .020 / .049-051 and .09 .... with this I am already complete!

Re: New acquisition
The USD 15.7 equivalent in GB£ + cost of shipping from the UK to Hungary bought me on ebay this practically unused 190 red postage stamp backplate beauty with the special W filament in the glow head. The purchase included a new COX 5x4 prop and a home made aluminum engine mount.
The original Goldberg mount is already my addition as will be a Galbreath or Kamtechnik turbo head.

The engine shows very light use with the factory honing marks still sharply visible on the No.1 cylinder wall and the backside of the star reed has just a tad of marks from the reed seat. Crispy, slightly tight cylinder and piston fit that waits for a gentle running in with rich mixture to retain the perfect compression for many hours of service in the nose of one of my planes to come.
This day could not be better after it has arrived in my doorway.

Re: New acquisition
Thanks Eric I would not say it fits in the crankcase railing tight...probably an anchor bolt tapped into the mount would do the job, but I would regret mauling it or the engine in any way..
