Eddy wrote:I have all but given up trying to post the link to this group of street musicians, they are simply awesome if not the best. The group is called: Tuba Skinny, and are from New Orleans. There are several in the group and simply pop up on street corners. Please u-tube the group, Tuba Skinny, and one of simply the best foot stomping and street dancing songs called: Storyville Blues, from the 2017 French Quarter Fest. Maybe some one can post it here for all to watch and tap your toes to, Thanks.
Here you go Eddy...I would love to visit New Orleans one day.

Hi Eddy. I visit NOLA often.
Tuba Skinny, Trombone Shorty, Kermit Ruffins,
Doreen Ketchens, Though Doreen is the only one
of the bunch to ply the street, some of my favorite
music. Dirty Dozen Brass Band at Tipitina's made
me tear up.
This was shot on Bayou Saint John. I saw him at Tip's,
and he is treated like a god in that town. He' from Sweden,
but has been living there so long, hes considered a native.
This song is somewhat autobiographical.

Baloga, can't thank you enough for posting the video, awesome. Now if I could just find some Crawdads to go with some Cajun cooking. This site is the best.

Yeah, Juzzie's good, but actually, our band's front man beat Juzzie two years running in the Hohner Golden Harmonica awards at Tamworth Country Festival here in OZ.
Oh, am I blushing?
Seriously, how's that guy's co-ordination? Juggling at the same time?

I wish I could do at least one out of the six things he is doing at a time....harmonica in the first place, and guitar in the second...(at least I am not that bad at stomping feet
)

Too bad Jim Walker could play harmonica with a neck rack while flying two throttle control Fireballs at the same time.

Re: music vids.. some of your favorites
Inasmuch a very talented man, Jim Walker's moment of shame and downfall was his lawsuit against Cox regarding the bellcrank patent, something that was proven of all things through lawsuit as prior art.
The Happy Birthday Song several years ago was proven to be prior art and public domain through again a lawsuit. For many years the owner of the copyright charged considerable money just so the song could be featured in concerts, movie sets, public gatherings, to the extent that restaurant employees purposely sang alternate tunes.
Anyway, some nice recent guitar shreddings by a few of the greats.

How about a bit of classic Clapton?
On another note, I recall John Prine being mentioned on this forum. Can't say I'm at all familiar, but for those who know him he's aparently critcally ill with Covid-19.

Back in the late 1970's, I and my friend John Henry Alexander Bille arranged/performed this song on dueling-pianos for a high-school show. (Franklin, MA)
