Yesterday was a down drab day and i set here thinking about some stuff i should have Not and just started bringing up old memories of my Dad and me doing things together , I miss him regularly . It's the kind of song you hear just once and remember it. And.....I think I only heard it once but knew it immediatly.

I mentioned this on here some time ago. I was taking a vacation in Ocean City , NJ. It was in July and it was pretty darn hot. We always would stay near a street that has a entrance to the boardwalk. At the top of the ramp was the historical music pier. I see a guy wearing a derby hat and a brown suit. This is very different attire from what most wear on the boards. I'm figuring what in the world is this guy doing, it probably was 90 deg in the shade. I sit on the opposite side of the bench and I notice people are coming over to him asking him to sign his autograph. Once they leave I move over and I tell him I've noticed several people are asking you to sign your autograph. I asked him if he was doing something special in the music pier. He tells me why yes I am. So, I asked if you don't mind, who are you? In a very monotone voice he says well, I'm Arlo Guthrie. And every time I hear Alice's restaurant, I think of that very moment.

I dig the shovel too < I got one of those but it don't make that sound Thanks ! And Alice's restaurant I missed it this year till now !!
