Tank extenton for Cox .049.
A few years ago I purchased a tank extention for my Black Widow. This consisted of a black plastic ring which was inserted between the rear needle valve back and the rear of the supplied tank. This provided approximately twice the amount of fuel avaliable to the engine. Included were (4) longer screws to connect the back plate and tank addition to the engine. Does anyone remember this accessory and is it available anywhere? Thanks for any help you can give.

Re: Tank extenton for Cox .049.
Hey jcw1941, welcome to the forum.
Unless someone here has an extender
they want to offer up, E-Bay might be
your best bet. I picked this one up for$10
a few weeks ago(not proud of it).
Also, I think(pfft) the red ones were for an added
3cc of fuel, and the black ones were 5cc.
By the way, the included screws were real junk.
I bought some better 2-56 screws from
McMaster-Carr for $$$. 1.50" long, I think.
Again, WELCOME!,
Bob

Cox Tsnk Extender
Thanks Bob,
I think ebay is the only chance at this tine. $10.00 is a little much. I'm glad to see someone else has discovered McMaster-Carr. I have found many building accessories that were impossible to find from model suppliers. Example being tiny teflon tubing to aid in the use of "thin" CA, and fine Kevlar cord for pull-pull installations.
I'm hoping Cox International will be able to manufacture many of the minor Cox engine accessories. They are good folks.
Thanks again,
Jim
