Okay, so I'm a jerk.  It's some kind of Norvel/AME engine.  I can't look it up because I'm at work, and when I try to access the www.nvengines.com website my company software blocks the website as possibly dangerous.  It looks like a Big Mig .061 engine to me, but I'd have to go home and look at the one I have on the shelf.

It is a Norvel, the later rev-lite version. It is either .049 or .061, this it is usually written on the crankcase.

In order to know if it is the AME or the Big-Mig you count the transfer channels, the AME has two large ones plus a boost channel, while the Big-Mig has two plus two transfer channels, plus the boost, for a total of 5 channels.

That's settled then. Here is a little timeline of the Norvel engines, starting from the left with the "Aero" Steels  (pre-Norvel) engine, then two Norvels (both pre rev-lite) with minor changes, onto the final Norvel rev-lite version on the right. Appart from the most obvious cylinder technology changes (ABC then ABN and finally the rev-lite) there are also changes to the carbs (including the attachment) and the prop-drives etc.

Rev-Lite cylinders were also offered in the square cylinders as well. Can someone identify this engine? Dscn2617 This one being a AME .061. This was quite a runner. Kris, your Aero is a bit hard to find. I had two of those and all of the others and current Aero engine I own have a nickle plated cylinder like the Norvel's you show. The all brass Aero is a Stels and it runs strong. It's a true chrome engine and not nickle and the rpm's are also a bit higher . I was getting a solid 30k on Russian glass props with that engine. I totally wore mine out but I still have it A very nice engine.

Which parts was that?
The glow head from a cox engine will fit, but that's about it I guess....

Oh, that and the propellers. Wink

My engine shown has a postage stamp needle valve assembly on it, I just soldered on a piece of tubing on the barb end so that it wouldn't come off. I also cut down the needle and drilled a piece of music wire through for a tap handle.

Didn't look it up. He just emailed that our parts did not fit, after which I asked for some engine photos.

He bought online without our intervention because he assumed that he had a Cox engine. Sent him to the Norvel website.
