Little miracles do happen

Little miracles do happen
Finally got one after 38 yrs of waiting, wanted one after seeing my uncles way back when. Found it while searching for some VW parts for a '66 that I am working on. Sitting there amongst a tarp full of old VW parts at a swap meet in Sacramento CA.
It's all complete except for the gear selector and engine mouning screws. Could use some help there. Cost? Guy said $50 I countered with $40 and we settled.

Sweet score, Ron!
I finally got a nice Shrike in my

Yep! All I need are a few parts and some tire work and this thing will fire!

NICE!
It looks to be in pretty good shape. My Baja Bug was my uncle's. The plastic has become fragile from age and 46 years of being soaked in oil. It has some "repairs" done to it. I'll have to take it down later and take some pics from inside.

Ron, very very cool. Our own CEF Bill Steklenski sold one to me last November. Bill is an avid collector of all Cox cars, vehicles etc. The Bug he sold me has the newer more flexible chassis. Mine is missing similar parts as yours. Bill may have what your looking for not to mention he has a lot of connections to those who collect these sought after Cox items. He can be found on the members list if you were looking for specific parts. Ken

Re: Little miracles do happen
Freeing up the engine with limited tools in my hotel room. Probably have 50 Cox .049 tools on my workbench back home, but not a one here.
Managed to undo everything besides the cylinder. I might could use a crescent wrench for that tomorrow when I can get a hold of one.
Seems I am missing a few of the pull start pieces. It looked good on the outside...
