Sullivan is discontinuing the 2oz bulb pumps we sell.

Does anyone know of a commercially available small bulb pump, syringe or other pump type to fill the Cox .049 tanks and other small tanks?

I use a Farberware injector from the kitchen gadget aisle.

http://www.amazon.com/Farberware-Classic-Injector-Stainless-Needles/dp/B005NKJW0Q

I jam on a piece of silicon fuel line and go for it. I throw away the needles. Sig lists something similar with more graduations on their website.

other than the markings it is identical to a medical syringe.

Phil

Just an extra note. I don't think I spent more than $2 on these off clearance at the grocery store. I picked up a spare when marked down to $2.

Thanks for the suggestions but they would be too expensive, I think. What we have right now is:

http://coxengines.ca/bulb-fuel-pump.html

whereas our cost is like $1.30 when bought in bulk without a header.

The SIG one might work and I'll give them a call tomorrow but I do prefer the bulb type as it's one hand operation to draw fuel.

For small 1/2a tanks, I love the monoject 412. No fuel line needed as the small tip fits right into the fill vents on reedie back plates.

I use these. They last me about a year before the stopper expands and makes it harder to use. With a little practice you can use them with one hand.

I would get mine from the US for 75 cents a piece. The seller does not sell them anymore though.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-pcs-10ML-syringe-injector-for-refilling-ink-with-10cm-nose-refill-tool-/170957409729?pt=US_Ink_Cartridges&hash=item27cddb0dc1

I'm looking into using a small 6v washer fluid pump.

Thanks for the leads. Will have to make sure the product is nitro resistant.

Am still hoping to find bulb type as they are a killer seller.

Old thread here.. but I found these on Amazon. Not sure how resistant they'd be to glow-fuel.. but they're cheap enough. They hold 60cc's.. and are sold in a 3-pack for about $6.

https://www.amazon.com/SPECIAL-PACK-3-60cc-Irrigation-Syringe/dp/B00H4GGW6E/ref=sr_1_61_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1503755303&sr=8-61&keywords=bulb+syringe

There are lots of other bulb-types too. There's one for filling batteries that looks exactly like one of my old fuel-bulbs.

Whoa there, watch the shipping costs. Almost  $9. Hits ya hard unless you have a "prime" account for free shipping,  or search other sellers of the similar product with free shipping:
https://www.amazon.com/Bulb-Irrigation-Syringe-Only-60cc/dp/B000LUA3MY/ref=pd_day0_121_47?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=DVJGNDZK1ZZJC0BEX1XM

Lots of bulb shapes and tube sizes in that section of Amazon. I sometimes get lost following the" you shopped for this, you might like this offer: offers a special blend of coffee that's not made for drinking

At our age I assume many have experienced medical experiments and investigation where ingress was below and behind belly button.... not pleasant

But to deliberately inject all the various concoctions....well screw this.... I am bailing and not finishing the thoughts

decades ago I stopped listening the Howard Stern because Robbin Givens kept on and on about her High Colonics and how she liked them

Good grief! I reckon you'd get a quick caffeine rush with a coffenema.
Regarding Phil's basting syringes for $4 bucks and change, I buy that same thing by the fistful for 88 cents each in the grilling section at Walmart.

Yea.. I can be frickin' frugal.. Laughing and will probably source a bulb from a turkey-baster.. and try to concoct a Sullivan tank-stopper or wine-bottle cork into it to make a fuel-bulb. I'll let you guys know what I come up with.. (you know I will.. Laughing )

I still have one of those orange 4 oz. Sullivan squeeze bulbs, but after using glow fuel, it left my fingers and palm orange, shedding its color every time I used it. The old brown bulbs didn't do this. Instead, they'd get hard and crack with age.

Forget those grubby bulbs!

If you ask for a prescription for Luer Lok syringes, your Doc can write it for a whole box that'll last you forever for probably under $20 bucks. Take it to a medical supply store or specialty pharmacy where people get walkers, braces, catheters, and all that jazz.

Call the place first to make sure they have what you want, and write it down so you can tell the Doc exactly what to write on the scrip. They should have the orange barbed tips too. And maybe surgical tube for bladders. Probably plastic toothless hemostats.

Get a scrip for a couple of sizes. They're all in ml these days(30ml=1 ounce). I get them with needles, which come in handy. They'll fit inside the nipples on Babe Bee tanks. They twist onto most CA glue bottles. You can inject a fuselage to fix a fracture from the inside-out. Put feathers on the Luer Slip syringes(or cut out the threads) and shoot 'em at a dart board. The 120ml syringe will fill a 4 oz. tank with room to spare. Where do you think Jim Lee, etc. get them?

It's only been a couple of years since you even needed a scrip for the needle-less ones.
You'll wonder how you ever lived without them.
Doctor Rusty

Bernie, that 2 oz. fuel bottle you have currently is a nice one and cost is good.

I don't know if this is a possibility. Haven't tried one of these yet but seems to hold promise. These are used to fuel RC cars, have a fuel resistant polypropylene (or something like that) squeeze bottle and anodized aluminum fueling tube. The tube would allow silicone tubing to be installed at its end, so it could fuel engines. There are pneumatic / water tubing adapters available at some autoparts or hardware stores, which could be used for smaller tubing to fuel the 1/2-A engine tanks. 250 ml = 8.8 oz. With a smaller bottle might be practical for half-A.
