RknRusty - StillBurnin - Okay, we have a plan!
I got the title from the Skynyrd covers Roddie sent me that I never thanked him for. Those are great, Rod. Much of y'all's instrumentals sound more polished than the originals.
As for me, I've been in the background lately with a broken hip. It took 3 weeks to get to the ortho doc to find out the x-rays had been grossly misread by the original radiologist and I was doing everything I shouldn't have to force the "Sprain" to heal. Finally got an MRI last Thursday and a consult tomorrow. So by then, I'll know if/how/when it can be fixed. The "If" part is what bothers me now. I'm still on a walker but can't go outside, just call me Bathrobe Boy, Lol.
I am still doing my Monday & Friday shows, but had 2 duds in a row, one due to trolls and one due to internet glitches, and that's why I didn't bother to post them here at CEF. I'll do another one tomorrow night. And I'll keep y'all informed here as to my future of walking. I will adapt to whatever comes to be.
Later,
Rusty

Man... I hope it's not as serious as they're saying it could be. I wish you the best of luck Rusty.
Re: RknRusty - StillBurnin - Okay, we have a plan!
Darn Rusty, how could they miss a broken hip!!! Tough when a wrong diagnosis steers you in the wrong direction.
I hobbled around on crutches for a month when I broke my leg when I was about your age and it was no fun especially going up and down stairs, an adventure. I can sympathize.
Hang in there.
Bob

That ain't right. We a mess, skeletal-wise.
At least you can still get an MRI. My pacemaker
disqualifies me from that, just what ya want in
the old man years.
Anyhoo, that's how we roll, and we DON'T LOOK DOWN!
Heal up quick as you can, brother.

Oh man Rusty...I'm sorry to hear about the hip. Hopefully they get you the treatment you need. Make sure you do all the therapy they instruct you to do. We'll be wishing for a quick recovery.

Re: RknRusty - StillBurnin - Okay, we have a plan!
Thanks, guys. Today the Doc says he can pin it and recovery will be a few weeks. Probably a few days in the hospital immediately following the knife job. That may be as soon as next week, as soon as I'm cleared by my other Docs; Cardio, Nephrologist, etc. I'll say bye before I go to the hospital and I'll take my Asus Tablet too. It has a Bluetooth keyboard for easy typing.
So I'll keep y'all in the loop.
Rusty

Re: RknRusty - StillBurnin - Okay, we have a plan!
Hey, thanks, Guys.
As Rusty Luck has it, I was able to see all the Docs on my team today, Cardio and Nephro, to get their green lights and bloodwork, and we're full go for as soon as it can be scheduled. I'm hoping next week... and being very freakin' careful to not break the damn thing in two between now and then. It's on that short thick shank that angles off from the femur and has the ball on top. There are a couple more cracks that may or may not get fixed. I've yet to ask if they will eventually heal. No damn wonder I was limping all that time.
Thanks for thinking of me.
Happy TG,
Rusty

Ron, don't call any visit's to my house off unless your job here is postponed. Depending on when in December, I might be in better shape then than I am today. I'd still love to see you if you're in the neighborhood. Just prepare to visit a dusty house, because between Holley's broken foot and my gimpy ailments, ain't nobody been doing much house cleaning.Cribbs74 wrote:

Btw, Holley texted me this morning from her Orth doc's office, and she's now back on her feet with real shoes on both of 'em.

Re: RknRusty - StillBurnin - Okay, we have a plan!
I hope that Ron stops in on ya. You two could always hobble-out to the shed and run some engines! I deeply regret when Ron was up my way at Quonset, RI for work.. and we didn't connect. It was "my" issues that kept that from happening.
