Or the guy hanging out on the Triumph TR3. A popular move from the earliest auto racers.
But Citroens rule. I love all of them.
That hanging out of the car on the Inside of the corner was a often used maneuvre before the war.
I scanned the pictures below from my book Motor Sport in the 20's:
An Aston Martin in the 1924 Shelsley Walsh hill climb
A Vauxhall 30/98 in 1925, same event, same corner

Toughie. But I'll bite. All my guesses are wrong except the Saab, but listed is what they remind me of. Give me any 1950's era American car though and I'll bat 100% The text gives some clues though, but I can't pick them out. Maybe the Jaguar.
#1 top row - Capri
2 - Mini
3 - Corvair
4 - Nissan 280Z
5 - Saab
6 - 1963 Ford
7 - Couldn't even venture
last three - Lancia's

First car back in 1971. Changed the color from Bright Yellow to Gold in 1973 with all the accoutrements of the day:
Car sat from 1974 to 2004. Underwent a four year concours restoration completed in 2008. Last ran at the 50th anniversary of the Mustang in North Carolina.

Re: Cars, cars, and more cars
I like the wheel choices before and after.
My all time favorites have to be the Crager SS,
and Keystone Classic, in that order, depends
on the car. Those old chrome reverse wheels
looked good too. At least I'm not so old, that
I thought moon wheel covers looked cool.

What's this Lieven, not a Citroen in sight? I would have nailed a 2CV.

No not at all, the closest you can get is the Maserati. Citroën owned Maserati from 1967 till 1975. The Ghibli was made during this period.

Hegemony? More like Blasphemy. We now have an electric Mustang, and heaven forbid, rumblings of an SUV Mustang. Rock bottom for Ford. Porsche went the same SUV route, but it saved the company.

Tricky!
I’ll start with the easy ones Top row, from left:
1. Opel Rekord P2
2. BMW 328 (not really sure about this )
3. Renault 16
4 and 5. I really should know these, both look familiar.
Bottom Row
1.
2. Facel Vega
3. Daimler Sovereign
4. Austin Healey Sprite
5. Volvo 740 or 940

To get you going:
Nr 2 comes from the same country as nr 8 (the Shaguar).
Nr5 is the same make as number 2 and comes from the same country as Nr 1.

Re: Cars, cars, and more cars
Ha! It’s an Anglia, the number two:
So obvious! There’s a guy around here who used to drag race one 20-30 years ago.
EDIT: Here’s the drag Anglia, owned and driven by Antti Kivinummi who has a speed motor shop nearby.
That makes #5 easy, an early German Ford, a 1960 Taunus 12m:
That number 4 is driving me a little nuts. I KNOW I’ve seen that grille/turn signal in a late ’50s or early ’60s small(ish) car

Re: Cars, cars, and more cars
#4 (bottom) is driving me nuts Kari. I know I have seen it before in Automobile/Car and Driver but I'm not going to go through 350 copies to find out. I'm thinking the odd Ferrari or Maserati but I was wrong on the Anglia, so who knows. Lancia?

This picture should get you on the right track!
Nr 9, or 4 in the bottom row, is a roadster, the logo is a globe.
Nr 6 is not common but the name fell before.
I needed help with nrs 4 and 6. I couldn't find those by searching the web alone.
