Cox surestart troubles
I rebuilt 3 older 049's a couple years ago for a project and I'm have issues with 1 of them. It will run rich but when I go to lean it out for top rpm it dies. Help very frustrated.

Re: Cox surestart troubles
If it’s been that long since a rebuild, best to go through it again.
Are you experiencing any prop wobble. As in the prop rocking back and forth, but not going completely through the compression stroke?

Re: Cox surestart troubles
I found the problem, a bent piston rod. New 1 on the way.
