I bet not many COX collectors have this..

Cox jacket and pin... I have seen someone with the pin in a pic but not sure if it was off the internet but I have not seen any pictures of anyone posting the jacket. Does anyone own one?

That is really cool! I have never seen a Cox jacket before! Not too long ago I spotted a flyer in an eBay auction advertising the offer, that was the first time I have ever known about it. Do you have any more information on this? How did you get yours?

The wing pins show up from time to time, a number of guys on here have them. I have some iron on patches made up that were designed off the wing pins that I should be making available in the not too distant future.

Really cool  Thumbs Up  Thanks for sharing!

Yup, never seen a Cox jacket before and appears to be good quality, KingofCox, you got a rarity. Thumbs Up

Just curious, but does anyone offer a Cox patch? One could create a Cox jacket by having one sewn on. It wouldn't be the genuine article, but one could show their allegiance. Smoking

Thanks guys.. Admin, I don't know much about it. I do know it's official as I got it from it's original owner that had it stored but I was so excited to have it that I didn't ask any questions.. I didn't want to give him a chance to change his mind! Lol. GallopingGhostler, there is patches because I actually own one that is NOS so it's definitely available but not sure how difficult it would be to come across being most people would of sewn them on something right away im sure.

I used to have one of the jackets, new in the package too, but sold it on Epay about ten years ago.
It's from the 70's and a bit outside what I collect.
The "Wally" wings are cool and still a fave. They came in two versions.
The first is what you have pictured, and the second was with an antiqued, brushed appearance.
Both look pretty neat.
This is a very early breast patch worn by the T.D. pilots at Disneyland. It predates the wings.

To be honest, I don't remember...maybe $50.00
I sold it during a time when I was purging my collection. That's something I regret to this day.
Fortunately I did keep some nice things.

Actually, KingofCox, I wasn't necessarily referring to an original, it could be a copy. The Cox one has only 3 colors and it is simple, so it would be easy for a patch making shop to duplicate it. We had a custom one locally made for our Christian Motorcyclists Association chapter, cost around $13 each to do in quantities of 25, because of complexity and more colors and limited quantity.

However, question would be, what would truly be the demand? No contractor is willing to take on such a venture, if they cannot be assured a reasonable profit plus market to make it worth their while. No one likes to have things tied up in unsold inventory taking up space and investment for them not paid off, to include a chapter president. What?

Even Bernie at Cox International has expressed that the reason he has not embarked on making certain parts for example, for the .020 Pee Wee is that the demand is not enough to justify larger minimal quantities (like 1,000 or 2,000 or more) required by parts makers to make costs affordable.

Reality is sometimes a hard master. Popcorn Paranoid Devil lol!

I’ve requested a quote from a Patch making co. Based on a 5” Dia patch using the picture of the jacket as an example. Their web site indicated a base minimum of 10 at 50% embroidery would be about $25.80each, dropping to 13.41ea for 20. I thought Jacob had looked into this for a CEF patch and found it rather costly.
I have purchased a couple of the T shirts from tee spring. They do get points as a conversation starter at swap meets and fly-ins!  Clapping

Do you think we could get Twenty members to commit $25 each for a patch, with the “profits” going to CEF to maintain the web site?
