Red Bull Air Race in Hungary

Our capital Budapest is just hosting the Red Bull Air Race. I was invited to watch the show from a friend's balcony overlooking river Danube over which the Hungarian champion Peter Bessenyei flew this entry show including 200mph flights just a few feet above the river when passing under Chain Bridge - the oldest in Budapest - and lots of loops, spins, knives etc..

I got lots of inspirations to replicate some of the simpler aerobatics with my TeeDeeVooDoo pylon racer...in the field and at safe altitudes.. Very Happy

The vid was shot with my smartphone so excuse the quality.

Thank you Mazrucio and Brad. This international "traveling air circus" comes here every year and in addtion to the aerial show itself it is very spectacular with our capital in the background.

and just 2 blocks up the same riverside we had our company headquarters till 2003 and I had our Parliament building in sight from my window until we moved out to another office...those days the Parliament building was constantly surrounded by scaffolds for a major renovation.

Surly that was a treat to bee that close the engine roar is right in your ear , wonderful view of the parliament , Was this of the entro to the race ? and to do these stuts you will need to get you some Smoke !!! LOL RC Plane

Sure Eric it was the intro and the race just ended today with the Czech contender Sonka winning.. I was wondering if this is the engine that roars or the sonic boom generated by the propeller tip that spins near the speed of sound?

The COX TeeDee does not emit too much smoke but I noted some fuel or castor mist left behind when I take a sharp turn with the plane.. Very Happy
