Cox cars, planes and parts.
A supposed collection of 209 NIB cars and planes went to a guy in New Jersey, and a hobby shop in Ohio just sold a shelf 16 foot by 4 foot tall of parts, Has anyone heard of anything? Man O Man it would still be fun to buy outside of ebay!

Cox Cars, planes and parts.
Let's all hope that the prices of this stuff starts to drop off sooner than later, it has been a great experience attending collectos and swap meets in the last 15 plus years. I feel that I have always offered fair deals to other collectors. Unfortunately, Ebay seems to be the only place to buy and sell anymore.

Your wish is my command. At great sorrow, I present the pictures sent to me by John Sutter of Johns hobby’s in Mansfield Ohio. I had emailed him a request for a inventory list or pictures of the stash of cox parts. I offered to pay his asking price in cash, check, money order or pay pal. He wanted cash. Ok! I’ve got cash in hand and Rental van, when can I come and get it? “Sorry, it’s been sold” He said IF the buyers back out by this Saturday (today) he would let me know. I guess I shouldn’t hold my breath.
Anyway here’s what I didn’t get:
21 pictures 4 at a time:

I hope the New Buyer, will share his bounty with the rest of us, at a reasonable price.

Cox parts
Thanks Marley, it's interesting that 2 other guys across the country told me about this. My one friend had a offer worked out with him also, but I guess someone came in under neath with a higher offer!

I wonder how many US hobbyshops still keep these COX treasures in their inventories? Is there a way we CEF find them and offer a buyout deal?

I also picked those cylindersets as probably the most sought for items...

I don't understand just what happened, but in trying to schedule a day and time to pick up all this stuff up, he emails me that some other person "Stepped-up" with a Downpayment and its all been sold. Bah , Im not happy about the way it ended, but I'm going to console myself in the fact that by NOT getting all this inventory I'll be able to park my car in the garage this winter, and NOT spend all my time trying to sell/ship/collect money for the stuff on Ebay. I was hoping the New Buyer was Bernie or Matt, I guess we'll find out sometime soon.

I don't know, but in my future travels if I see a hobby shop I'm gonna stop-in ask: Do you have and Cox Items? Parts or Planes?

Re: Cox cars, planes and parts.
Bernie and Matt both would provide a good concentrated market for these gems with fixed prices and customer friendly/transparent inventories..I second in wishing one or both of them acquired the stuff rather than an occasional ebayer ramping the prices up sometimes prohibitively..

2 years ago in Tampa I dropped in a hobbyshop (https://m.yelp.com/biz/phils-hobby-shop-pinellas-park) with similar hopes just to find a COX fan shop owner with no COX merchandise anymore but plenty of COX memories from his childhood that he shared with me in a good conversation..visiting that shop randomly was worth it just for this chat in itself...at least I bought some Hitec digital micro servos from him which still are serving in my Lil Roughneck..

Wow!! Sounds like you guys really got worked up over this!! It doesn't matter who bought it, Full circle comes back around! The Fact of the matter is you need to be a aggressive Business man and know how to create your closing sale. All these parts will turn up and there are a lot more out there. All in time. I just added some Cox 30% racing fuel to my Moosehead Radler beer tonight!!! Cox Action Power!!!!!! I might just have to fire up a Cox Car inside the house and set my smoke alarms off, Doesn't get any better than that!!!!
