Allen Brickhaus Memorial AA Contest...Paducah, Kentucky

Post  Kim on Sun Aug 19, 2018 3:38 am

Had a great visit with the Paducah Aero Modelers and their Allen Brickhaus Memorial Contest. The weather cooperated and gave the guys a pretty good day.

Those are some really nice planes, Kim, thanks for sharing. I took particular note of the Veco Hurricane, OSU-2 Kingfisher profile, and the Ringmaster in last photo. The OSU-2 is a rarity to see these days. The Hurricane has a really nice finish, impeccable, looks really good in full fuselage. The Ringmaster's wing looks like it is planked, may even have a foam core and a thicker wing section and a really nice paint job. I wonder if it might be one of Pat King's designs.

I see Jim Lee owner of Lee's Machine shop flying the Nobler inverted. I believe that's Bob Brookins flying the silver and blue Viking. Bob restores cars and is a exceptional painter. Ken
