.18/2=2x.09. Or, my new toys
Hi All,
I've bashed my Norvels and APs onto you guys enough already. So I've taken a big leap with Dah,Da DAH...

I suspect one venturi body will have to be replaced. But before I buy parts, both need to be unstuck. I read the AF boil may damage anodizing. So my Monocoat gun and gun oil will be tried first.
If they weigh less than my BigMig .074's and bolt into place, then the Captain may get an alternate thrust solution.
I won't brag about the price until I hear at least one run. But they came with wrenches and a spare head. It will be a bit before I know if I got junk, or dirty gold.
If you have hints or tips, this is new ground for me. I feel like I'm in the big leagues now!

Well, they both freed-up. The ugly one has better"pop." The better-looking one sounds like it has gravel between the prop drive plate and the case.
At this point, both need to be stripped, cleaned, and checked more closely.
The wrenches must be for a .15 since they barely reach the service points.
Anyone want to trade wrenches?

I'd go with a good hot water soaking and brushing in a high concentration of Dawn first. Both intake bodies are probably salvagable but be careful with too much direct heat gun action on them as they are already doing the plastic spawling/depolymerzation thing. Once you get them off intact and very clean, a coat of West Systems epoxy or similar carefully applied with a decent stiff detailing brush will make a lot of difference. Very little or no epoxy on interior part that sleeves over crankcase frame nor interior of spray bar seat. You will need wax paper and vinegar to keep things clean before epoxy goes off.

Looks like one used to have a throttle ring on it

I know I can buy new but...
I have two .15 wrenches I'd like to trade for a pair of .09 wenches.
Any takers? I'll pay USPS First Class both ways.
Shoot, I'll send the self-addressed stamped envelope inside with the wrenches. You just need to open, remove, insert, seal and drop in mailbox.
Thanks,
