13/16" horizontal x 1-1/16" vertical. The air-intake/venturi-tube on the back of the fuel tank's back-plate is on-center to this 4-hole pattern.

If you click on "Instruction sheets" on the left side of this page a list of engine manuals opens where mating dimensions of most engines like the Babe Bee below are available:

Below a link to the pdf file of the Graupner glider Filou engine mount drawings and instructions. Look for part nr 7. That is the exact template for a Babe Bee.

Never throw away an unserviceable back plate. Lay on firewall, mark with punch or ice pick and bingo.
