Well, well, my first Biplane for Cox! VIDEOS!!
In the search for a model for my Medallion Cox .049 R / C so I had in my files this plane that I got from Outerzone (https://outerzone.co.uk/), it is the Bi-Hawk model, here I leave the link: https://outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=7607
The original model does not have ailerons, so I take the trouble to modify the lower side by placing a central servo and thus activate ailerons.
The model is now 4 channels, elevator, rudder, ailerons and engine control ... it is already 80% finished, it is not covered with thermoretractile material and logically the flight tests.
I hope you like it and wait for your comments here! ...

Awesome Sauce! Can't wait to see it fly. I've done 1/2A CL biplanes, but I never got around to a 1/2A RC biplane. My compliments.
Eric, on those throttles, the exhaust is to the side, so it will exhaust to the left side of the engine. Shouldn't affect the side balsa if it's coated with epoxy.
The Sous Mark

Eric, my friend, I do not know if you are asking me exactly how the acceleration bar moves since there is F1, because there is a wood carved in the shape of a tube (cylindrical piece, hollow carved wood) where the bar slides of acceleration, driven by a command coming from the servo, behind the F1

The lines of the plane remind me of a Sterling Flying Fool C/L

Hi Mauricio.. and HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Your Bi-Hawk looks beautiful my friend! I have always loved the look/style of biplanes!
Re: Well, well, my first Biplane for Cox! VIDEOS!!
Boys, thank you very much for your comments!
I am very happy and I have great expectations with this model, because I imagine the flight of the model and seeing the biplane pass through the flight field will be great.
The engine is very reliable, it has a beautiful gait, so everything indicates that it will work well, but at the time of the tests it will be the real moment and I will tell my experiences.
I still have to cover it, so I will continue to share the progress.
I leave here some more photos ....

Mauricio the plane is so beautiful and your craftmanship is awesome!
I second others in saying the exhaust area of the coil should be covered in many layers of fuel resistant dope. In addition, because hot gases are blasted directly on the balsa I suggest you also add exhaust gas deflectors that prevent the cowl from getting roasted by the hot gases...my experience with my Cosmic Wind. I used aluminum deflectors cut from a (Miller Light

Re: Well, well, my first Biplane for Cox! VIDEOS!!
THANK YOU My friends! ... here I leave you with the incredible performance of this engine with its acceleration design, Cox Medallion .049 r / c with bar-type accelerator.
This engine has inspired me to make this plane.
If you have the possibility to acquire an engine of these, or put together one, do not stop doing it, because it will surprise you.
Here it is not about speed or high rpm, rather it is about general regularity, necessary power and performance, this medallion is a perfect match for those who want a smooth operation in all ranges of gear.
As soon as I have time, I will put the coating on the plane and we will continue with the advances.
LONG LIFE TO COX!

Es solo para los ricos en las grandes ciudades internacionales de los Estados Unidos. Para nosotros, los hombres locales de los pobres, es la cerveza local. Es cantidad, no calidad. Lately I have seen the price of soda, it is no wonder that balogh chose a cerveza Miller en lata de aluminio for a shield.

Is trailer park dwellers in the South drink Ice House and Milwaukee's Best. What do they drink in New Mexico trailer parks?

Speaking of beer can aluminum, there are two distinct alloys in use. The one used in 12 oz. cans is much softer than the alloy used in 24s.

If there are cans of beers and Quilmes it is a tradition here, but it has lost many customers and it is probably due to its way of reformulating beer.
Now there is another brand that has remained constant over time, and that made people prefer it. Being constant and maintaining quality are key.

Maurico, that was a great video of your engine running on throttle. Your last picture of working late at night by lamp light also is inspiring, as it’s the only time I would be able to concentrate with out having my cat knock everything off the worktable! Looking forward to your flight of this beautiful bi plane.
