Got lucky today with a really rare Enya
I never like the term "Rare" applied to anything, usually turns me off and sends me looking elsewhere.
This one wasn't labeled that way, so I investigated.
Looks like the companion to my recently won Enya .29 Racing Special (pictured left) which is one of the three most desired Enyas.
Enya .19 Sandcast three case bolt. Late 40's - early '50's

Re: Got lucky today with a really rare Enya
Thanks Rod, This one has some issues, buggered case screws etc.. But it does have the correct NVA. Something I car run and might even mount it on an old timer airplane.
Does your vibrate? Big complaint against these early sand casts.

This is an Enya 19, Enya's first engine.

Yes, But there were three variations.
The very first Enya .19 had a seven fin non-anodized head, the one pictured on the left.
The second variation also had a seven fin head but it and the drive washer were anodized and featured a rectangular intake port in the crank shaft.
The third variation had an eight fin anodized head pictured on right. All were sand cast three case bolt engines.
I just got lucky with this one as it's an anodized seven fin head. Fills out the set.

Hi Bill, Yes, Bob's "Compendium" is my go-to source. Pat King also contributes. I'm in contact with them both of them frequently.
I'm happy to own a few of Bob's old cast-off Enyas.
