Boasting or sharing.......
Andras post about scoring large on his Tarno Carburetor buy got me thinking, especially because it has been on my mind lately.
I purposely stopped posting about my Cox Mercedes ebay purchases/endeavors a couple of weeks ago because I thought it might be interpreted as such. Not my intention.
So, in the spirit of sharing, today my ebay/Cox International cup runnith over.

Those Aurora wrenches fit the glow head just fine. I like the little guy too.
Got to admit I got choked up when I found this card at the bottom of the Bird Dogs box. Signed on the back by "Gram" and her last name. Today I'm afraid the card would feature a Robot smashing a X box with another Robot.

Wow. I do not know what I would do if I had stuff like that show up all at once! Great haul, and be proud of it. Without people like yourself doing this, most of us would never even see it. Thanks for sharing!

The way I see it it’s your money, you earned it. You can do what you want with it.
It’s all in the presentation. Personally I like to see what other people get.

Yes, Don and Phil = harmony. Favorites of mine.
Thanks guys. Yes, Christmas to me.
It was fun unpacking all that stuff. Especially the model planes. I put the fear in both of the vendors sending them pictures of the smashed Aurora SE5A. That's why I showed how well each was packed.
I hope the kid had fun flying that Bird Dog. Lot's of castor stain and a broken windshield shows it had been played with. Thankfully it was kept complete. I contacted the seller in hopes they had some background, but said they found it in a Thrift Shop.
"I'm glad everything arrived in good shape. I wish I knew more about the plane. I bought it at a thrift shop in Pella, Iowa. I saw the card, and I thought that it was a neat part of the package."
How about those control lines, red and white and a handle I have not seen before.
Love that Lil Tiger too. Definitely a stooge plane. But it's no fun flying alone.

Thinking a Perfect tank and one of Fred's engines......

You keep on and you won't have enough money left to buy a can of Vienna sausages at the Dollar General.

Really early Andras.
Somehow Merry Christmas to me got translated into Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday card in the box was to the kid that owned the Aurora Cessna Bird Dog years ago. Don't rush my birthdays, they come way to fast now-a days.

Sorry Bob I have misunderstood Eric's note...

Re: Boasting or sharing.......
Hello Bob, first of all I congratulate you for all those treasures that you share there with us. The card has an extra value ... only the imagination of each of us will transport us to imagine how much love expressed by that person and the emotion of that child at the moment of opening his gift ... beautiful moment and unforgettable.
If you share or presume ... it's something very sharp ... look, the one that presumes does not ask that question, so you share with the best intention of what that word means ... share in this way ... On the other hand, there is every way of feeling about what each one shows ... so there is a passage in the bible that reads:
do good, without looking at who ....
Well thank you for sharing friend Bob!

Re: Boasting or sharing.......
Thanks again guys, Andras and I take note.
It seems that I bash the forum each week with a new project, and I add - to many P I C T U R E S...... "something that has been done or repeated so often that it has become annoying or tiresome" with little regard for those on dial-up. Is anybody on dial-up anymore. Seems Fred was the about the last before his part of the country entered the 21st century.
Anyway, I appreciate the kind words and we/I can safely bury the boastful notion.

I just thought it was funny and got a good laugh from the post . I like that Bird Dog i had seen one on the Bay and from the looks i believe that is it . I guess it reminds me of a Cessna or something with that High wing ! Here is another but right off the Bat 80 - Looks good though ,

I guess I did confuse things with the Happy Birthday wish based on the card. Sorry about that Bob, no intention to make you older than you already are.
