Re: Frankinengine
I saw that one. The only reason for it's existence is for use on in mouse I racing which require a reed intake and integral tank. I do wonder if there is a reed in there.

Re: Frankinengine
There must be some kind of small reed valve under the carb? I wonder if it runs, or runs good with the schneurle ports as compared to Venoms and such.

Re: Frankinengine
Hmmm.... If I had a spare radial backplate for a Norvel, I'd give this a try. I think I'd take the radial backplate and machine an opening in the center of it. Then I'd figure out an interface to the backplate with a standard 8cc tank to somehow preserve the case volume. Then see what the standard reed and needle would do. I don't know if there'd be a problem with reed float, or if the case volume would just be too big. Too bad Texas Timers is sold out of the Norvel radial backplates.

Re: Frankinengine
Just did some measuring, and it could almost work. The limiting thing is that the threads on the Norvel would not give enough strength to screw in. The Bee is about .06" shorter too. Maybe turning down the Bee just a bit, and boring the Norvel backplate to give an interference fit might get the Bee tank on. Turn away .06" off the Norvel case. A plug in the crank hole would be needed. Then you could have something slower than you started with? Maybe faster than a speeding Bee-------- The bids are only up to $12.50. $17 shipping kills it. At least there would be a spare piston cylinder, backplate of sorts, and a plug.

Re: Frankinengine
I'm quite curious, largely because of the remote carburetor, so the engine is not drawing air through the venturi in the fuel tank. I am not curious enough to buy the thing. Whoever wins it, please post breakdown pictures.

Re: Frankinengine
I am curious enough to buy it, but the $17.25 shipping keeps me away. That, and the fact that I never used Ebay. I don't trust PayPal. I get phishing emails with Paypal mentioned and would not know what is real. Anyway, in the comments the seller says it is untested, so it likely doesn't even run? I would rather sacrifice one to make it a rear exhaust with a pipe. Maybe raise the exhaust port a bit.
