PT-19 Trainer
Who Likes PT-19s?
After cleaning up the rims on the QZ Trainer, thought I'd shoot some of the PT Trainers I've collected through the years. More in unopened boxes in a different room.
Personal recommendation...avoid getting caught up in the color scam.

I like also them..never knew there were other than the yellow and blue color combinations, and have never seen the PT-19 R/C version...would you post a pic on that as well? was that powered by a COX or an electric motor?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Is that a pun? It was called the “Artic Trainer”. Yea hey?
The Color game, missing the solid colors, all white, all blue, all yellow, all red with Canadian Roundels. Find Mark Bosens write up on the variety of P-19s over the years.
Lots of variation and changes. Things to drive a collector crazy!!

Re: PT-19 Trainer
Thanks all for the comments.
Bob, not truly a color scam but a personal choice when trying to complete the set of all the different color variations. The tough one to find will be the all red Canadian version.
Eric, I think I last flew one in 1979. First one flew was in 1970. Truly lots of fun back then.
Balogh, here's the pre-installed Cox .049 engine and fuselage. Nice foam model but potentially under-powered with the .049, especially when considering the weight of the landing gear.

Re: PT-19 Trainer
Thanks DrCOX..looks nice. Maybe you can swap the cylinder of the reedie COX with a TD cylinder? That would add some stamina for sure..
