"Time ending soonest"

"Time ending soonest"
I'm an impatient person and usually select the Time Ending Soonest icon in ebays auctions.
This morning I searched "Cox Cars" and came up with two Shrikes ending within minutes of each other. One had no bids the other one bid. Made my usual one time bid and unexpectedly won them both, $49.99 and $54.00 respectively.
I have always admired Kim's green Shrike and have wanted one ever since. Right in my prime zone as both will need some spiffing up.

Re: "Time ending soonest"
Welcome mat is always out. Got 42 planes that need flying and half as many cars that should be ran.
But bring chain saws. Wet weather and wind are killing my pine trees.
What I have really been doing the past few days. Tough work for an old man with a broken leg and an inguinal hernia.
Kidding, it's what I enjoy doing most. Nothing like being out doors.
My son reminded me that growing up he had a Cox Shrike. I know I bought him a Baja Bug, Trike, and Sandblaster but I don't remember the Shrike. All got tossed when I retired and we moved.

Darn, Bob, please don’t think I don’t think you know what you’re doing because I do (does that make sense ) but still: Be extra careful with those trees. Some of the roots are still in the ground and can act like springs when you cut the trunk. Not to mention the bottom end of the trunk swinging to some direction as it gets loose, especially when there are two of them stacked like that It can throw you and the chainsaw 15 feet to any direction in a snap. People have been killed clearing storm damage like that.
Just don’t want you get hurt that’s all
Nice Shrikes! And I like the ATV too

Re: "Time ending soonest"
What? How did you break your leg? You have a side job in acting? Ya know. Go brake a leg??
Man, you do have a bunch of firewood to cut and stack. We had similar weather earlier in the month. Wet ground combined with sleet/rain turned freezing took down many trees and power poles. We were without power for 5 days. Took four guys with chainsaws, a woodchipper and a bobcat to lift and remove this tree and two large branches that fell during the storm. Fortunately there was no damage to the roof of my garage, I’m guessing the tree just slowly tipped over as the weight of the ice overcame gravity. You make me feel bad, that i hired it done, you’re out there with a broke leg an hernia! You GO man!

Re: "Time ending soonest"
Rene you can capture a phrase.
Ya, break a leg. 1995 on a ladder cleaning windows when the main aluminum leg turned under sending me butt over tea kettle catching my right leg between the rungs snapping it like a tooth pick. Hitting the ground separating my left shoulder hurt, but nothing like that leg.
Three plates and thirteen screws and part of my hip bone holds it together today.
Then there was that time I was hit and ran over by a Buick and spent six weeks in the hospital, and............and......
It's been a life.
Glad you got that mess cleaned up and there was no damage.
Bob
