PAINTING-2019
It's a nice day.. and I've got two models prepped for spraying rattle-can primer-coats outdoors.. and brushing some acrylic-enamel to small-parts indoors.

Note; the zip-seal bags which contain hdwe. for both models. It's how I keep track of W.I.P. builds. I keep dated "chicken-scratch" notes on the models, drawings.. spare-parts, alternate parts.. etc.

Looking good. I like your organization methods. I always thought of doing it like that, but than I also like when cleaning my building table trying to figure out what goes where.....

Hey Chancey! My organizational-methods are purely selective.. My workbenches are terribly cluttered. I choose what to organize by necessity. When I look around my shop.. I get bewildered. I wouldn't know where to start, if I chose to (or had to..) do a "complete" re-org. Lots of coffee.. and a long-weekend just for starters..

Re: PAINTING-2019

yada yada... just a few white-primer coats applied to the airframe of my "Fulcrum Flyer".. and the body of my "Rodd-E-Liminator" tether-car. It was a beautiful afternoon here in Northern Rhode Island.. 68 degrees Fahrenheit.. pretty much until sundown.
I had to resist the temptation to spray base-coats onto these models.. even though the base-coats are also white. Tomorrow's another day.. and the weather is forecast to mirror today's.. (fingers crossed..)
So... I decided to spray (fog) some additional-coats of rattle-can/clear-gloss polyurethane onto "two" of the speed-models that I built for the CEF contests. My F8F-2 Bearcat (Rare Bear) and my "T33-Dee"... model.

I'm not concerned with the weight of these two airplanes. They're basically drag-racers. The extra coats of poly are to help seal/preserve the finish and any decals.
Tonight I've prepared to paint "wheels" for a few of these models. I made a simple paint-fixture to mimic the 1/16" and 1/8" diameter axles that the wheels will be fitted to.

Re: PAINTING-2019
Stick the wheels on a conical tip dowel. No paint runs any, like as rsv1cox says. It is easy to remove wheels after painting.

It's heavier than I'd like Joe. 3.5oz./99gr. and that's without the engine and hdwe. It'll be close to 6oz. when it's done..
