Re: Crash proof 1/2A Stunt plane … ???
I have yet to do more than one circuit inverted with RC. Control line I could do left handed for a whole tank. A reverse wingover?

We just flew really high and then tried inverted … ( RC ) with CL we were much closer to the ground … ( too close )

I can only imagine what a small 1/2A would be like with a screaming Tee Dee on the nose …

Wouldn't take too much effort to make a couple to see. Maybe try one with a Fora. Mount the motor really solid. There are lots of videos wwith 1/2A combat planes and well the F2D stuff of course. They don't even slow down on the corners.

Curious , the blue seems stiffer than the yellow …
Thinking of making a hot wire jig to facilitate cutting out basic airfoil shapes in these wings .. The foam is 5 3/4” wide X 3/4” thick … Any idea of what kind of wingspan we should be shooting for … I’m kinda' thinking ~ 18” - 20“ eh ??? What do you guys prefer ???

The Lil Bat is 18.5" X 5.5" or so, so you are not too far off. Not that it is the best stunter in the world. My old coro one is 22 x 6.5". I guess go by how stiff it feels after the spar is in/on. You can always trim it later at the field if it seems needed.

Thanks Speed , think I’ll take the middle and make it 20” … Like you say we can cut off a bit if needed ...
With this material , Hot Glue works Great and is fuel proof … not for Firewalls but foam to wood joins , it’s fine … We use an old Dremel speed control to adjust the temp on a Hi temp Hot Glue Gun so we can literally” Weld” with it … Used carefully it doesn’t add a lot of weight … ( cheap and Dirty )
