.049 Head Gaskets

.049 Head Gaskets
I was digging through some Cox parts and unearthed a pile of head gaskets. They were in some old 35mm film canisters in a lot I bought ages ago. Canisters were marked 3, 4, and 5. .003", .004", and .005" gaskets plus a few .025" (woah!). Unfortunately I think they are mixed up, but nothing an hour with a micrometer won't fix.
Anyone know who offered these? Somewhere, I have a mid-90's KK catalog and I bet they are in there.

Re: .049 Head Gaskets
Greg, I have the similar motherload of head gaskets. I know that some of them are from Cox. The Cox head shims are .004" and when people mention head gaskets and amounts, I like to offer the advice that they're not all created to the same thickness. I can't even imagine what a .025" gasket would be for. I have the shims to raise the cylinder which KK offered which came in .002" and greater. I know that the shim to raise the cylinder to block off SPI can be a hefty thickness but I have never seen a head shim of .025" for a Cox .049. Ken

Re: .049 Head Gaskets
They are all sorted now. The marking was rubbed off and they were actually .004" and .006", with just a few .003". Oddly enough, I had a few requests for making thick gaskets, I think .010" & .020" specifically. Easy of handling vs. a stack of gaskets was the idea. Making them is certainly possible, but they would be expensive compared to stamped production parts.
