Testors .049 Engine Fuel Can
Testors .049 Engine Fuel Can
I came across this 3/4 full can of Testors .049 Engine Fuel at a massive flea market this past weekend. The can is a little beat up, but still easily worth the $3 I paid for it.
The fuel smells fine and you can feel it evaporate on your fingertips. I've never used Testors fuel so I'm not sure if this is what it's supposed to look like. It's pink like Sig Champion.
I'll have to give it a test in a Babe Bee one of these days. I still have a nearly full early 70s can of Cox fuel that I want to try out.

I like old cans of fuel too. At only $3 you got a deal! I know we have the “mixture” of the Cox branded fuels, but wonder if WenMac AMF Testors have the same formula % of oil required. I thought I’d read somewhere that the front rotary intake motors required a higher percent of oil to be happy and live longer. Let us know how it runs!

I didn't even know Testors offered Fly 'Em fuel in quart cans. That might make it somewhat rare.

Fly 'em fuel is Bill Netzebaum concoction that uses some synthetic oil. Wen Mac fuel used all castor lube and had about as much nitro as Cox red can. It would really wake up a Bee that had been running on Cox blue can.

Repackage the fuel in a clear liquor bottle. Then screw the cap on the can and set it in a hot car interior and maybe some of those dents will come out.
