Re: Used Thermal Hopper $165 and up
I used to get them around $40-$50
The most $70-80 if my hand itchy to get them.

rureelybob is one of the finest guys I have dealt with on Ebay. His engines are always first rate & he goes over them carefully.
He never has sold me junk.
Yes since a lot of high end collectors follow him, expect top dollar on what he auctions.

It is nicely sorted out. I hope that he includes a signed copy of the transaction for provenance.
On the other end of the spectrum, I'm amazed at the present asking prices for what was once considered junque. Testors Fly-em's etc. for example.

eBay can become a feeding frenzy, remember the high bidder, bid more than anybody on the face of the earth!
Yep, i used to go to swap meets with Bob and help sell his less 'mint' items. Here's the results of one of Bob estate sale trips from years ago, i got the airframes after i pulled the engines

yep, the plastic stuff from the 70's is starting to bring good money, i was done with them by then and had little interest,
considered them crap, compared to the cool plastic stuff of the 60's

Loved those pictures Mark, the guy was really into free flight. Engines too, the RR-1 really stands out.
I haven't learned my lesson yet. I have a bid on this tail-less P-40 as much for the handle and spinner as anything else. The last one I rebuilt with no tail turned out well. I would say that most of the 20 or so damaged C/L models I have repaired have had broken or missing tail sections, balsa or plastic makes no difference. Are they crashing tail first...…..
Sitting at $11.50 right now but someone will push my substantial bid past the limit.
