Flying Action Model Engine ! Estes version

Cira 1999, Estes Rockets presents the Cox 130 TEE DEE 010.
Packaging plastic is yellowed with age, the engine is spotless brand spanking new!
2- props, one grey, one black
2- wrenches
1- tankless mount
1- spare parts order form and full scale drawing dated 9/00
1- Cox Engine operation and troubleshooting guide dated 3/00

I bought this as a BIN on ebay after having contacted the seller who had listed 6-Cox 010’s for $175. Obviously in error, he deleted the listing, and sent me a response to my inquiry that if I wanted one he’d post a “buy it now” and e mailed me when it was up. It’s my first “new in package” Cox engine in quite a few years! BooHoo, It’s an Estes version. So what? it’s new, it’s clean, it’s perfect compared to my others.

Congrats Rene, nice engine, nice package, nice buy.
I contacted the fellow and he replied, I answered but we never got together. In the meantime I have blown my Cox budget for the rest of the year.
So, what are you going to do with it?

Hey Rene! Congrats on sourcing a "new in package" Cox Tee Dee .010!!! Even though it's a later/Estes version.. there were no other Cox production .010 parts that could have been substituted in its release.
If you ever plan on running the engine.. I would disassemble it.. to inspect all parts against a genuine Cox Tee Dee .010 spec-sheet.. to be sure that the engine is complete and was assembled properly.. and.. keep an eye-out for spare-parts.. especially glow-heads.

Roddie, IF, and it’s unlikely, that I would run this NIP 010, I would throughly clean and inspect it. I do have a couple of used Swap Meet purchased 010’s and a lot buy that included a few spare glow heads and wrenches. Always have a eye out for parts!
Bob, I have no plans to fly it. I have a couple of “beaters” that I’ll use on the “Pool Boy” that I’m still working on. So, It will have a home on my Desk top, or inside a gun cabinet. I’m surprised you and Art (megamind1) didn’t hook-up and workout a deal.
I told him there may be others from the CEF who’d be interested in purchasing them.
