Blue Spitfire Decals
Well hello CEF, It's been a while since I've been on. Got some new acquisitions and looking for a thing or two.
First is a new to me blue Spitfire. The previous owner did a lot of clean up and polishing, and i just had to assemble. I got a new old stock set of decals, but they are not very sticky so was going to make copies at Kinkos and preserve the originals. Made the trip to Kinkos and the color paper copies I made did not come out well, so didn't have them copy them on to decal paper. The registration number is in a grey back ground on the original and that kept coming out purple! Does anybody have a file with the correct colors, or a set of copied decals that they will sell? I do not see anyone selling decals on eBay any more. I would like to get some Stuka sets.
i also acquired a Piper Comanche. Again, some work done and while not perfect, plenty darn good to look at hanging in my basement! It has a bum front tire, typical Cox tire decay. I have, in the past, replaced bad Cox tire with tires from Perfect brand wheels. This will be a bit more difficult to do it that way so I thought I would seek out other ideas if anyone has any.
I also got a really nice Hell diver Helldiver. It just needs and engine and prop. I haven't taken it apart to check, but I imagine it takes the same engine as the Stuka? I should have some of those and props and I think it takes the red rubber spinner? Gotta go check some photos and catalogs.
Thanks in advance , guys!

While I cannot personally help, have you considered going to a graphics place that does car and truck graphics. They may better be able to help you out. They can put it in the computer, clean it up accordingly and remake them.

Mr Dan,
Not that I can help with the Stickers...but:
I think you are the one that sent me a test sheet of Docspan. That stuff is so awesome I bought a roll to last me a lifetime. I just used some on my P-40. Great stuff!

Hi Jim;
Glad to help. I ran into good deals on several cases of the stuff, so I have enough for all of us on the forum here probably! I think they are making silk span available again from K&S and SIG but have not seen it nor tried it. I got plenty!

I work for a company that has an art department and a bunch of people that work on MACs making graphics, so will ask them for help, and look at other options in the mean time. Thanks for the thought.

Re: Blue Spitfire Decals
Two names keep popping up on a few rc web pages. I have not yet used either of them, but those who have were delighted with what they received.
