Which receiver do you use?
Friends, I would like to know what receiver you use for the 1 / 4A and 1 / 2A models.
I have a JR 9503 DMSX radio compatible with Spektum and orange.
Please if you leave me the link of the product that is sold in the USA better, thanks.
P.D.: as you know I had problems with my Orange https://hobbyking.com/en_us/orangerx-r615x-dsm2-dsmx-compatible-6ch-2-4ghz-receiver-w-cppm.html?___store=en_us

Re: Which receiver do you use?
I am sure there are better choices, but I was using the Orange receiver that you highlighted. One of about six was a dud. Some guys are happy with the Lemon receivers. I was going to get the 5 pack here. https://www.lemon-rx.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=59 It is DSM@ but there are many others.

You comment that these RX Lemon that indicates they work well? .... are they far-reaching?, You would use them with Cox, Norvel in .010 and up to .09 cubic inches

Re: Which receiver do you use?
Other guys do. I would not fly too far away, but the planes are pretty small to go any distance. There is a variety of Lemon receivers that go far and are DSMX. Wait for more responses, I am no electronics expert for sure. An .09 might be a bit big for the featherweights.

Re: Which receiver do you use?
I need small and quality for speed plans / full range, there can be no glitches or complete range loss.
My new favorite is the Spektrum AR410 as the leads go straight out from the RX rather than up
as the AR400. You can also take it out of the case and heat shrink it for a mere 4.4g. It is small
but most important full range, modern tech with no antenna wires! I own 3 of these now.
.010 - .25 engines

Re: Which receiver do you use?
Dear friend, I am sad, I just lost my Stylo model with the Norvel engine, the destruction was total, I lost signal and it was about 100 meters high .... it's a shame. The engine is fine, perfect, impeccable, but the model no longer exists!
I need to use for these very good quality RX aircraft ...

Oh nooO!!!!! Same radio TX and two different RX?
Radio loss just can't happen the heart break is hard to bare with all the work put into the projects.

Yes, it is the same JR 9503 radio and two different rx.
I bought several RX orange615 the first I had no problems, the Piper Arrow (cox .049), the Mustang Enya .09, Stylo Cox .049 and Stylo Cox .051, the Piyurin .010, the Piyurin .020 without problems, but The Extra 260 with OS .56 and the Stylo with Norvel .061, if I had problems.
A few days ago I took the RX that was installed in the Extra 260 and placed it on a glider with Cox Tee Dee .051 engine and carried it until the sight allowed me to see it and never lost a signal.
I think these RX ORANGE are very unstable, they are not safe, they do not always work correctly, they are a lottery, they are garbage.

Re: Which receiver do you use?
Back when I used them there was no issues with a Spektrum TX
I liked them for TD .010 and .020 projects. Today I am happy with
the Spektrum AR410.
One key thing is some folks exercise connectors to arm the RX I
prefer to use a switch as the connectors can get worn out if pluged
and unplugged routinely.

What do you use to feed it? (battery type and voltage)

Re: Which receiver do you use?
I am using nickel-metal 4.8 v and 240 mha, I have been using it in the Biplane, in the Stilo's .049 / .051, the ORANGE615 is definitely not reliable.
I am using them because I have had no problems with the former, but the latter ... it is a disaster.

Brad, when you take it out of its box, what size is that rx AR410 wide and long?

Re: Which receiver do you use?
Hi Eric, it is true, why use something that has failed, I actually bought several of the receiver blinds, I have installed in several of my planes and they all work well, only the one I had in the Extra 260 and another that I placed in the Stylo red failed, although then take the same rx of the Extra and place it on a motorized glider, take it to almost 300 meters high and never failed again. that is, this confuses. From what I see sometimes they fail sometimes, they are not unstable ... so always doubt if there is something that I am doing wrong, but it seems that in reality these RXs do not have true quality control, that is, it is a lottery. Now I will take serious measures, I will not use them anymore. It hurts a lot to break a model that I put so much care there, it is a blow that leaves no air, but I will build another Stylo and I will share it here again.

Re: Which receiver do you use?
Actually there is an antenna, it's integrated into the PCB, opposite to the pins. Like a cell phone antenna. Very convenient design. I have JR XG6 with RG613 BX. Long antennas can not be installed in smaller engine powered planes less then .049 cu.in.

Good flying. I could never fly that low. Stylo means pen in French IIRC.

Yes, but "Stylish" fits well though.
