Is this the start of WW3, I hope not. Reminds me of the Andromeda syndrome movie way back in the 70's. Stay safe,

Yeah, , it IS interesting that there has been NO mention of Russia, or how its peoples are doing in this pandemic outbreak!

Here's Weird Al live:
I use DuckDuckGo instead of the mainstream media (MSM) search engines and found for example:
https://www.msn.com/en-in/news/other/covid-19-outbreak-russia-bans-foreigners-from-march-18-to-may-1/ar-BB11mZum
MSN: Covid19 outbreak wrote:Russia on March 17 imposed temporary restrictions on foreign citizens visiting the country from March 18 to May 1 in order to counter the further spread of the coronavirus infection. Starting from 00:00 (local time) on March 18, 2020, all the Russian diplomatic and consular missions abroad temporarily suspend accepting any visa applications except for diplomatic, official and regular business visa applications from foreign nationals and stateless persons mentioned above (issuance of visas according to the already accepted applications is being suspended as well), the advisory noted. E-visa services will also become temporarily unavailable. At present, there are more than 90 confirmed cases in the Federation.
Of further interest not spoken of at all in the MSM is the following article:
Gnews : Per Russia COVID-19 “man-made”
No doubt there will be a few who will close their ears being herd trained but this may explain why you don't hear about much it at all from the MSM on Russia.
As stated in Twighlight Zone, I return control of your TV set to you.

Wikipedia says 147 as of today in Russia. They have closed the borders for a while, and have prison terms for not adhering to quarantine. Being communist/socialist totalitarian or whatever term you use, numbers are often exaggerated to a more pleasing number. China's numbers could be 10 times what has been reported IMHO. Sometimes you just don't report anything, and then no one really knows, in any country.

After about a week of watery eyes and a runny nose....mildly annoying at the most...today I feel like total crap! I hav'nt even had as much as a cold in years! So much for "sheltering in place" . I havn't left the property in over 2 months .

Are you sure it is a cold or may be seasonal nasal allergies? I am glad that the juniper pines are no longer pollinating, had the worst case of allergy eyes in a long time. Spring came all of a sudden without much of a winter.OhBee wrote:After about a week of watery eyes and a runny nose....mildly annoying at the most...today I feel like total crap! Way to tell if allergy or virus infection is if mucus is clear when blowing the nose, it is allergy. However, over time if doesn't go away can become a sinus infection, changing color to greenish. Then you really have problems.
What I find interesting and disconcerting is that even the so called free world media is now almost all owned by 6 major corporations. It used to be that only a sub part was, and there were still mom and pop news outlets out there. Most home town news was just that. I still remember of mom and pop businesses, tailor shops, shoe repair shops, electronic repair shops, some operated out of houses or combination business and house, gas stations that also did auto repairs, etc. All those are now gone, most businesses are chains owned by the wealthy.aspeed wrote:Sometimes you just don't report anything, and then no one really knows, in any country.
I no longer believe US government statistics. The so called inflationary numbers are cooked. Prices are going up higher than the statistics show, which indicates to me inflation is higher. Unemployment doesn't reflect the population that is truly unemployed or underemployed. Adult kids are now living with their parents along with the grandchildren, something you didn't see much of years ago.
This Covid19 virus situation is really going to affect negatively our economy not to also mention our societal well being.

Dr. James Phillip, ER Medicine Professor wrote:"Most of us are going to get this virus. It's undeniable. You won't find a single expert out there who is saying that this is going to be contained," said Phillips, who serves as the George Washington University School of Medicine's operational medicine fellowship director.
"And, the more we learn about it, the more we see that the spread is going to be global and, for the most part, that's OK because the data we know from China shows that roughly 98 to 99 percent of us are going to do very, very, well," he told Henry at the time.
Since his original interview, and since new data has emerged, Phillips told Fox News: "However, the fact remains that this is a deadly virus that is rapidly spreading across our country [and] will change our society and behavior for the foreseeable future. Elderly people and those with medical problems ranging from high blood pressure to diabetes are known to be at significantly increased risk, with mortality rates as high as 15 percent in studies. Children and teenagers appear to be only minimally affected, which balances out the case fatality rate numbers."

Pretty Lady, with no visible tattoos, or snot collecting nose rings!
Think I may be in love again, though I'm not sure that I can remember what LOVE involves?

Are you saying that she may be hiding something Victor...…………..
Quite possible as Australia's gift to Turner Classic Movies presenter Alicia Malone has a tattoo under her left arm that is only exposed when wearing certain wardrobes. Otherwise you would never expect that this wholesome example of womanhood would ever have one. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Gals with no tats.
Young enough to be an older grandchild, these 2 gal performers from apparently Germany do a very nice rendition both as singers and instrumentalists.

Re: Elephant in the room
This is the worst response to a global disaster I've ever seen! And I've seen a few.if you listen to the feds (including Mr. T)their passing the buck onto local hospitals and EMT's
to acquire their own supply chain for masks, gowns and hand sanitizer.this is the federal governments job during a pandemic! This is a real war Mr. T and it has no borders and walls won't stop IT!.
If he ever gets his arrogant self centered head out of his butt,And I'm talking about Mr."T" and I'm not talking about a black guy!the U.S feds and Mr. T have dropped the ball on this one.
