Scientific "Thunderbird"...using Jim's for Inspiration!

Scientific "Thunderbird"...using Jim's for Inspiration!
Another still-born project, my Scientific "Thunderbird" made it all the way to base-color before "the magic went away", but has now been dragged from the cobwebs, dusted off, and getting some serious attention. It's sibling, a sheet-wing "Stunt Trainer" is sharing bench space too, waiting for it's turn to be targeted by my Badger detail gun.
It very nearly got dragged into the daylight when Jim posted his excellent Thunderbird build a while back, and now mine has taken several jumps forward, even getting trim paint and a cowling that the Golden Hawk was waiting for.
Our June S.M.A.L.L. Fly-In has been cancelled, with us now looking to "Fall S.M.A.L.L." in October, so I've decided to just stop counting how many projects I've got going and work on the one that catches my attention at the time.
---------Side note about S.M.A.L.L.---I'm accumulating Scientific Models at a crazy rate, so am gonna petition for a "Scientific Model Airplane Company Event" this year.
In the Spirit of S.M.A.L.L., I propose that the event consists of:
1. You Bring a Scientific, or Black Hawk, or Reasonable Facsimile, or It's Box to Fall S.M.A.L.L.
2. You say, "Hey, I got a Scientific Model over here!".
3. You then receive appropriate admiration.
4. You start it's engine, or not.
5. You fly your model, or not, or designate a flyer, or not. Also acceptable is holding it, arm outstretched, while making "motor sounds" and hand-flying it around the area.
6. Assemble, if you feel like it, with other "Sci-Flyers" for Group Photo.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So anyway, it's a thought.

Good tape work Kim. Nice crisp lines. As an added bonus you can skip having your nails done for a while.

Great work! Mediocre manicure. If you keep that up, social distancing from you will be easy enough.
Don't stand. Don't stand so. Don't stand so close to me.

I love the way you simplify things , like painting the whole fuse one color then come back and repaint the color you want on difft. parts . If i did it i would make it so hard by painting the separate parts by covering both parts instead of one
I am a learning from you ! Thanks
O hea she is looking Great ! !
