Hello,

today morning I decided what my next project would be, and thought I'd try to build up the wings in one day.
Halfway through the second wing, I noticed a problem. If you can tell what's wrong with this picture, you're brighter than me.

HA only once did I frame up two right outboard wings and onec two inboards

and confusing is why your, supposed to be inboard wing half, doesn't have the flap/aileron structure...easy fix looks like

edited in...best fix is to finish the duplicate, then just build two inboards... one without flap/aileron for two complete wings

I am having a hard time thinking that that's the problem. If true, that is one huge mistake.

Not a problem at all. You're just prepping to build TWO planes at the same time.

DONE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND...I dare say, I ALSO started construction of the first "Submersible Ken Willard Poolboy" !!

Working swing shifts at the diaper factory, I got fed up with chunks of my days being wasted, and set myself to start construction of my second Poolboy flying Boat, no matter how crumby I felt when i got home in the morning.

And I did, and I woke up in the afternoon to the situation in my photo. The view is looking at the Poolboy's hull/fuselage from the front...no more words needed, other than to say that this poor thing was quietly disposed of, while #3 was started...

So, no...you are not alone!

I can honestly say I've never built 2 of the same wing panel.
Let's not talk about fuselage sides....

This is actually by design, I build my wing first, cut off the ailerons later. I find it easier to build the wing straight that way.

Ok then.

Most of the time I can't tell my right hand from my left either. Smile

Yellow glue or Sig-ment? Huh...

If yellow glue, build the second plane at the same time.

If Sig-ment, raid the acetone jug and flip everything.

As tempting as the "flipping" option sounds, it's a no-go: I'm using CA.
So I guess I'm building two airframes now Huh...

I am happy to say my CA confession has not inspired an angry mob to appear in front of my home wielding pitchforks and torches Laughing
Thanks to Fred and Andrew I am now building not one, but two of the same models at the same time, which is a first for me. I have rough-finished the two wing sets, narrowly avoiding building three right wing panels by mistake. I invested around 2h into each panel, and there are easily two more hours in each of them, not counting the covering. I am pretty happy how they turned out, but I've about had it with building identical wings over and over, and I'm ready to move onto other parts of the build(s). Sadly, next comes my least favourite part of any build - the ailerons. I think to save time I will investigate building them out of trailing edge stock rather than building them up, which is always labour-intensive and extremely fiddly.

Not sure when will the next update be, as my side projects keep distracting me. Or maybe this is the side project Huh...
