Frankie Laine, the famous singer of the main theme in Gunfight at the O.K. Corral movie, 1957. Thanks for the beautiful, charming, enchanting, fascinating songs and by the way I remembered several movies. I especially like western movie songs, and one of my favorite is High Noon, Tex Ritter sings a very good ballad, written by Dimitri Tiomkin.

Wow.. This thread brings back a memory long stored in my hat rack software about Tex Ritter.
A classmate and neighbor when I was growing up in Charlotte was Nancy Ritter and she told us many times that her uncle was Tex Ritter ….Yea right !!! Ha Ha !!!
Then one day there was a lot of commotion in the neighborhood around a big Cadillac at Nancy's house.
Sure nuff , Tex Ritter dropped in to visit and we all saw our first for real movie star !!!
She told us later about her cousin, John Ritter, who was going to be a movie star !!1 Yea Right !!! Ha Ha !!!
I guess it shows to go you …..

Being able to see TV/Movie celebrities was a few and far between treat when you lived in a small metro market.
Later at a promo event we saw Dennis the Menace star Jay North and at a later rodeo event we saw Rudd Weatherwax and Lassie #2 from the Lassie TV series.
That was about all a young teen in a relative small market could expect in the late 50's.
