Cox Stinger?

Cox Stinger?
Digging thru my stash of engines trying to find "legal" engines for free flight Nostalgia events, I found a "forgotten" engine. It has a tag saying "Cox .049STI" in one place and "Original Cox Item" in another. I suspect that the reason I got it was because it has an orange crankcase. I'm curious about it since my internet searches have yielded strange results. Two or three of the places that listed "all" Cox .049s do NOT include an entry for Stinger. In a couple other places I found references to it having a cylinder with two boost ports and two flutes on each. Anyone have any comments about this engine? I know it doesn't meet the requirements for my NOS FF but that's okay.
P.S. The tag also says "SSHobbies" with a URL of sshobbies.com and an address in Gatewood, MO. When I try that, I get a store in Tampa that doesn't look like a place I've ever been.
TIA

I can't help you with identifying the engine, but sshobbies.com was "Sam's Stuff & Hobbies". I bought some stuff of them but they went out of business years back.

I think Bernie had some "custom" anodizing done on a group or two of engine tank and crankcases, sold some off as mis-matched due to unacceptable anodized finish. Others go turned into pure Collector Gold! !

I can also agree with Samd Stuff And Hobbies. I cannot remember what I had bought from them, back in around 2000, but I too had bought some stuff from them. And funny their name came back up as just last week I was in my room and when closing the cabinet door, I stopped to look at this...... Memories.. And also to note, this is the only thing stuck to my cabinet both inside and out.

Thanks for the memory tickler! The "years back" is consistent with my vague memory. I think I found them by happenstance surfing. As I now remember, I was looking for a particular C/L kit that was not in current production. The Sam's Stuff site had one that turned up in my searches. While I was there, I was probably looking to see what was there. What I don't remember is buying this engine. As a 1/2A, it would have been of minimal interest since I was building/flying .35 to .45 powered control-liners at the time. If that's were I bought it, it would have been an impulse buy 'cause it was orange.
Thanks,

If this has potential value, I'll take a bit more care!

I wonder if Bernie might have had this on his early web site. Only problem with that line of thinking is the fact of the card with "SSHobbies" on it.
And, I'm not completely sure that my sweetie appreciates it, but I did not know about the "Select Hobbies" site. I'll have to go poke around there to see what else they might have that would appeal to me.

Re: Cox Stinger?
Eric,
That's the video I found and watched a couple of times. It shows a button that appears on the upper right side. And, when that button is executed, it brings up a secondary window that has the equivalent to a "Browse Files". I cannot spawn off anything like this.
For the record, my machine runs Ubuntu Linux and I'm using Firefox as my browser. I occasionally have problems like this due to my choice of operating system and browser. On some sites, I get practically no response. On others, everything except a couple of options will work just fine. I'll keep looking since this Orange Stinger might actually be of interest.

Re: Cox Stinger?
"Original Cox item" ????
lol, 10-15 years from now, somebody will be calling this a prototype.
p.s.
For the record, this is 're-marketed' Cox Sure Start engine, anodized by Bernie. Hopefully he'll shed some light on it. I remember some off colored cases for sale and my guess is the hobby shop made there own version?
