Rusty has been facing some pretty serious health issues lately. I got a call from Rusty's son Al yesterday to inform me they've moved him to hospice and they are making him comfortable. Keep him in your thoughts.

My goodness, I knew Rusty had been having health issues, but nothing nearly this serious. My thoughts are with him.

Awe, that’s not the news one wants to hear. I know Rusty was fighting and couple of medical issues, but sure didn’t expect to hear Hospice to be called in. That’s tough to learn. Yes, thoughts and prayers are going his way, from all who know him.

This is sad news, Rusty is a good friend and I wish the best for him. His health issues are beyond what most can comprehend. I recently wrote him and through his writing I felt a sense of elation. At the same time, I could tell that he was struggling more than ever. This really tugs on the heart strings. My prayers go out to him and his family. Ken

I checked the Memberlist last week to see when Rusty checked in last. August 23rd and thought, well he's still checking in so he must be ok. Had been missing his knowledge and insight.

Hospice one of my favorite charities.

Here's to thinking of and prayers to Rusty. Sad as this came up now , as just the other day I had actually thought I have not seen much from him lately, but also was thinking due to what is going on things have been a fair bit quieter lately. Wishing him well.

I phoned Rusty a little over three weeks ago and he indicated that he was having a tougher time than normal and he was getting weaker.
I am so sorry for his condition and I told him He was a much better man than me doing 3 dialysis sessions a week for over 30 years !!!
I have no idea how anyone could that tough !!!!
God Speed Rusty !!!!!!!!!!!

Wow... my heart sank reading this. He was here since basically the beginning, I don't think the forum would be where it is now without him.

It feels like just yesterday that he was talking about getting his legs and hip back into action for a season of summer flying.

He's in my thoughts and prayers, and we're all pulling for the best!

Out of how I have come to know him here, Rusty is a very modest and decent person who did not even want to bother us with his health problems and ailment..I wish him all good and quick recovery..

I received a message from Rusty’s wife, not good news. Rusty has about a day left with us. The best we can do now is pray for the family and those who are caring for him to do their best to make him comfortable.

Will do Kim, I’ve asked her to let me know when the time comes. On her terms of course as I didn’t want to be a burden.

Mr. Rusty Knowlton literally saved my life twice. I am deeply saddened at this news. I planned a call later this month when I am done with all my Alcohol therapies to let him know his calls and encouragement meant a LOT to me..

I pray for a miracle but understand if God brings his child home
