Dave, I have one or two of them. They're cylinder timing shim holders for 3 different thickness shims. The holder itself
works as a shim, but I forget it's thickness. I got mine from KustomKraftmanship back in the 70s.
Woops, I'm old. Mad lol!

Some of the car engines used mufflers. The shim could've been used to block off SPI by lifting the cylinder. In addition, I know some of the cylinders and I think it might be a #6 was used on the QZ/ QRC engines which didn't require the shim because the exhaust port was cut higher in the cylinder.

Cox put that spacer on some of its cars Corvette, Ford GT 40, Chaparral are a few.

Huh... the parts named riser came wit casing only ? No parts number Doh! its rare stuf very old y need timing chim for new engine build that parts Not exact size y nead thick chim To supres spi in tuned modified engines y build just tired of modify coper seal
