Jetco Tornado
I finished covering the wing today. This has been on my to complete list for a little while. The Tornado is 49" wingspan, TD .049 on bladder. I have to install the timer and bladder compartment. Finish is SLC covering and Brodak Rocket Blue, I still have a lot of it even though I've been using it on dozens of models so far. I've made so many Rocket Blue planes I'm going to dislike blue. I tested the dethermalizer with my fuses and all went well, hopefully it works when I send it. There's a chance I may get to fly it this weekend. Next on the to do list is another free flight, this time .19 powered 60" span similar style plane.

Re: Jetco Tornado
I am interested in SLC. Read a little about it, where is a supplier for it?
Nice airplane btw. I have some old FF timer parts if you are interested. I have no immediate use for them. I would be happy to send them to you free of charge.

Great build!! I like FF planes. They're the only ones I had success with, for the only reason that after launching, I didn't have to intervene, neither by wire, nor by radio control!

Re: Jetco Tornado
Ron, SLC was provided through Phil Cartier of Corehouse products. Phil had to buy a roll of this material that was so large it took years to deplete it. Last year he sold the end of it and hasn't been able to find a replacement until a few weeks ago. SLC is light but it's not as pliable as traditional iron on coverings and it takes some playing with to cosmetically go around compound curves. Phil covers his foamies with it but I like it better on wood. It's much stronger than Doculam and it stays put better. Phil found a replacement but it's a bit heavier he claims in terms of thickness but it performs equally the same with the exception that it's even more difficult to go around curves.
Ron, can you send a picture of your timer items. I have a limited amount of items and some are in need of additional parts. I'd be very interested to see what you have. Ken
