New project... Loop Graupner "Glow"
...and suddenly, from a glass of Gancia con soda (gancia = aperitif with relatively sweet degrees of alcohol that is lowered with soda = water with soda) ... my imagination was awakened again and my head began to imagine a new project .. .. I'll tell you more ...
it was that siphon and its plastic tube that inspired me ...

While I can only imagine what you have found, I also am curious about the bottle in question, with the pump on it. Any chance you can post a picture of the whole bottle/cap assembly please just for curiousity sake.
But now thinking, is it possibly some sort of nitro fuel pump you are thinking of making?

Re: New project... Loop Graupner "Glow"
Good friends taking up the idea that came to me from seeing the tube of soda, then I comment on this.
That tube of soda it occurred to me to use it as a pod for a carbon tube and from there it occurred to me to make detachable wings.
So from that tube of soda, I began to think of a model that would allow me to do that project (detachable wings) and then I looked for something that would give me good pleasure and fun to fly...

Looking for model plans, I stumbled upon the Outerzone, with the Graupnner plan called Loop.
The Loop model is a small size electric Fun Fly type model, so I started thinking about transforming that plane to a glow engine.
The study of the structure makes to radically reform the structure, so that it is necessary to place parts such as F1 and F2, study how to disassemble the wings and thus also generate access to the model to install the fuel tank and the rest of the equipment. radio control..

Well, I really like the gear of the 4-stroke engine, but this time I wanted to go further and then make a small Fun Fly model for a .20 / .26 4-stroke engine.
Let's get to work, with you this new project:

Great idea. Never would have thought of that! But now I have this funny little feeling that I will be looking at every tube I see in some product or another trying to see and find a use for it.....
Heck just after typing the previous sentence I just thought of Windex bottle tubes for small pushrod guides. Thanks Mauricio.

Thanks Bob! That's very funny. I live 15000 km away from the US, however when I was a child, I watched the series of the 3 stooges with my grandmother, in a small town in my country called Maggiolo. As you can see, the United States has always been here and is even part of my culture, so I'm happy to be here ... I've said it many times, haven't I?

Re: New project... Loop Graupner "Glow"
I have begun to cut wood ... I have begun to connect with this project and my great friend Roberto Ishkanian comes to my memory ... so I am going to dedicate this work to him, I know that he will connect with me and spiritually accompany me. ... I know ... I'm happy that Roberto chose me as his great friend ...
then I will make two identical models !!!

My good friend Roberto took this photo of me in 2008, for some reason, it was published in a virtual magazine in the United States. Roberto helped me a lot with the dissemination of everything that has to do with model airplanes, without a doubt, a great friend that I will always miss.

Hi Eric! .. of course, cutting that in one night I would need an Atomic Termite, hahaha, I am gathering work and sharing as I have time.
What happened with my friend Roberto was just in the working stages. Roberto never found out that he had started this new job, so at some point in his recovery he would pass it on to him, unfortunately it couldn't be, so I hope that he will accompany me from the spiritual point of view.
Many people in Argentina miss all the great contribution he made for the hobby, I personally, besides that, I miss his great friendship and his values ... in short, we continue our journey!

recalculating....ohhh yes...it's been a while....but I'm getting back to this work.
Although I started by doing two at the same time, I think that I should at least work to finish one of these two that I started....so, with time I will share the progress....
...retaking this project! and sharing with you!

Looking Good my Friend , did you have trouble deciding witch stab/elev. to use ? i see you have made 3 different ones .
I love the way you take every day things like the clip and make it work for you on the plane (keeps the mine working)

¡Tu obra es fantástica, la mejor! Your work is fantastic, the best! That is truly ingenious, using common paper clips to make a tail wheel tiller bearing. También, lo ahorra dinero y tiempo. Plus, it saves money and time. The cost of those R/C hardware for such, the costs add up very quickly.

I was going to post the same, but George beat me to it.
I'm a big believer in using common everyday items that are readily available and inexpensive, however, your idea is an excellent application and one I would not have thought of.
Excellent thread, by the way!

Clean and neat work as usual Mauricio …. I’m sure your friend would be very honored…,
Ingenious use of alternative materials…. I’ve used arrow shafts, old fishing rods, different shapes and sizes of bamboo, etc…
Watching your build with interest!! Always an opportunity to learn!!
