I know Whitworth threads and SAE threads...But what threads are the screws on the Enya .09?

I know you are up in Canada, but you should be able to get the "metric" screws at your local DIY hardware strore.
Here in the USA, I get them at the local hardware store. (Ace Hardware).

The M3x0.6 is not your regular M-thread (0.5 mm pitch), and that is the problem, at least around here...

I find JIS threads all over small bits on my 1965 Honda S-90...especially the hand controls. Sometimes the only fix is to drill deeper and re-thread. Or, collect a bunch of parts hoping to score a much needed, but used fastener.

Not sure your location but this is where I get my screws from. I perfer allen head over jis and or cross points. Much easier to get a driver on. I like that these are carbon steel vs stainless. I find that even if your using proper MIP drivers the SS ones are way softer and like to wallow out. I have used SS a lot but am changing over as the need arises. Cap screws are nice because you can get a size larger allen wrench on it. However depending on clearance to your needle you may need the standard ones. I'd have to dig my enya 0.09 out to check, but could let you know if you like.

MIP wrenches - these have saved me countless times, they will remove what other keys have stripped out. Buy once cry once.

I usually get my nut/bolts/screws from Micro Fasteners.
https://www.microfasteners.com/

If they don't have what I'm looking for, then I got to Bolt Depot where I can get almost anything I may need.

If the holes are indeed 3mm x 0.6mm threads, you will have a hard time finding the bolts. Someone may step up with them if you are lucky. You may want to consider retapping them to a standard M3 x 0.5mm pitch. It will compromise the hole/thread a bit. If you use a rolform tap it will minimise the damage, as it does not really remove material, just kind of mushes it. Not really an ideal fix for sure, but there are not a lot of other options. Scotland? I thought maybe you lived in Scotland judging by the accent?

Yes, the screw thread is M3x0.6, as stated earlier. JIS is the head style, a Japanese version of the Philips head, and yes you do need a JIS screw driver for these screws or else they will get damaged (same issue as with OS engines). You can simply swap to socked head screws once you find a good source for them with the correct thread.

Shtterman on ebay has a lot of parts, shipping is expensive to europe but it is my go to for Enya parts: https://www.ebay.com/itm/293023169977?hash=item44398abdb9:g:OjsAAOxyqUpQ7B1h

This is also a good source closer to you: https://www.modelfixings.co.uk/high_tensile_steel_caps.htm

They seem to have the M3x0.6 but have mislabeled them as "fine thread", in spite of them being more coarse than the regular M3x0.5.

They show only one length 12mm but it is the M3 x .6 pitch:

I purchased some M3.5 to fit the front of an Enya 19 or 36 I don’t remember, other than they fit proper and tighr!

Lol yes sir, that be my neighborhood. It may take me a few days if that's okay. We are melting at the moment it's sapped my motivation. O man after reading through this tread finding a darn screw may not be that simple. I did a Enya. 15 tare down reciently and I compared the stock jis to my M3s and the threads interlocked so I assumed they were the same but may not be the case. At the time I never tried the M3 in the crankcase to confirm. will find out in a few. Always learn something.

Sorry for the delay. I confirmed with my 0.09 these are 100% m3 x 0.6 pitch thread screws and are 7mm long at crank case plain bearing mount. You can get cap screws to fit everywhere but next to the needle valve unfortunately, need button head screws there. See photos.

I also included a side beside photo between the 0.5 and 0.6 m3 pitchs. Also measured the pitch. May have to call your local faster shop to see if they have something. That's a bummer not a standard size at all. Enya .09 screws 20210710
