New jerobee running video- I’m back!
Well it sure has been a while, but I’m finally back. That is, if you ever noticed I was gone... Long story short, school, life, and projects had been sucking away my time. I got around to fixing up the car and doing some modifications from the mouse race program, and man it really shows. It now goes at least 1.5x faster. I added a brake to my car as well. I have yet to paint the body, but it’s still fun without it!

Sounds like fun david! I’m just about to paint up the body for this weekend. I’ll definitely get some pictures and video when it’s done!
Also, wow your English has gotten a lot better!

There is no radio gear in the chassis. I have to engineer a system so I can use more modern gear. I have no time to do anything…

Do you still have the radio tray? I’ve crammed modern electronics into mine.

Re: New jerobee running video- I’m back!
Lukemiester thanks for the compliment I work hard at it Learning a new language is more than just translating as it is I try to better understand the subtleties of the American language to better translate what I write Although I am fairly educated but I have something to rectify, we always have something that we can improve For me the importance of being able to communicate well was very important cribbs 74 With a piece of aluminum it is quite easy to make a fixing for the servo With the original receiver parts it is easier To place the servos in the right places In addition we can keep the battery compartment very useful I think I can indicate the right servo that we can insert inside the yellow brick

Yeah I used mini size servos in mine. Essentially drop in replacement, the holes needed some boring out though. I’ve now gone to 1 mini in the front and 2 in the back for throttle and brake due to my original throttle servo suddenly failing

No radio tray. Just bare chassis to work with.

Fledgling
Love the skid marks, you need a bigger car park !
I bet that's very fast when the engine is screaming. Good pick up, runs well, nice to hear and see.

Servos for 1 \ 10 do the job To replace the original servo inside the yellow brick took Becker S200 servos but without electronic. The poti has already the same resistance range. So you have to find a Servo with a approximately same poti range and it could work It is quite easy to fix the servo for throttle control I fix them with two screws dont use hot glue With oil, it's not very good
It's not very easy to see how it is to fix But can give you an idea a bent aluminium plate work Good

Yes with my 1972 yellow porsche model Everything is completely original One of the few that has been used and still works today is rare. I noticed that you are using two servos to operate the brakes and the throttle I think it's better a single stronger But good as long as everything works With a single servo the hardest thing is to operate both the gas and the brakes at the same time. It look Like this oem

It’s finally finished bois!
Well I guess it’s time to finally reveal what I’ve been working on the past few days- the body
I saw a jerobee on eBay (which David ended up buying soon after!) that had a really simple but really cool looking paint job of black in the “middle” of the body and figured it would look way better that what I had planned, so I painted it that way, but i really didn’t like that mclaren orange so I went with some dupli-color metalcast red that I had gotten for the swamp buggy, and this too, along with some black rustoleum acrylic lacquer, and some acrylic lacquer clear coat
After the base coat:
After the clear coat:
After attaching the parts last night:
and the money shot
I drove it around a little last night but the fuel delivery and mixture is extremely finicky so it wasn’t really great. I ran it today in the evening and it ran better. When it got darker the underglow helped a lot actually. That modded engine really winds up now! And I have yet to try the higher compression norvel head...
Also the way it rides makes it look like a full scale race car
