Thanks so much for your help sosam, parts for in Japan just arrived safe and sound, thanks Ken Enya !

Now my model making can start properly, a good list of subjects to make this winter.

Will post a picture of this Enya before and after, and when it's in a model.

Just the cox td09 RC carb and exhaust silencer to find or make and that one will be ready also.

A busy winter to come.

Thanks again sosam and Ken.

Coxfledgling,
You got the R/C (Throttle Valve -T.V.) from Ken Enya.
Did you get the muffler too?
Also, new gaskets for the back plate?
There should be a gasket in the T.V. assembly that you received from Ken.

One thing you should do before mounting the T.V. on the engine is to clean up the gasket surface of the T.V.
I do this to get a better seal on the T.V. and the crankcase.
Using a "good" flat sanding block with 320 grit sand paper, sand the face of the T.V. in a figure "8" on the sand paper.
Clean it (the sand paper and the T.V.) once in a while to check to see that the face of the T.V. is  completely sanded flat.

I also do the crankcase, but I have a "flat" lapping stone that is able to get the surface on the crankcase easier than a wooden block.
These Enya engines don't finish mill/grind this part of the assembly like I think they should?
Probably cost cutting?

Here are photos of the latest engine (Enya .10) that is being rebuilt where I am lapping the surface of the T.V. area.

Thanks sosam, silencer, rear gaskets, thrust washers, cylinder base gaskets and carb gaskets.

Will carefully strip the engine and attend to the carb and flange.

Clean, clean, clean, lube and assemble, then a run in run, faster run the. A set up run, lube for short storage.

Was thinking putting it in a bowman's mini skyman intended for 049, or a fournier motor glider...but I will be making enlarged versions of the Kiel Kraft rubber powered lysander converted to RC...

Just the hunt for the td09 carb or modify a carb to fit. That's for spring.

Excellent help and advice as usual, thanks.
