capacitor plane
I happened to watch some You Tube vids with two fellows, Mike & Ritchie. They've been more than inspirational to my free flight builds over the past two years. I've exchanged some info with Mike in regards to my Dakota flights. My son Shawn though follows these guys and noticed these capicator motor powered planes. These would be planes like 18" wingspan rubber jobs that have been converted to these capacitor motors. Shawn tells my club member Frank who's a electrical engineer and here we are with plane #1. Frank gave it to my son to launch so he could video the flight. This thing is fast and hard to follow. It was the coolest thing however to see this thing go because it truly is amazing. My hats off too Mike and Ritchie for posting the videos on how to make these. Not nitro power but it's just cool free flight. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RwQi-W7RSs
